True. Egypt is in Africa but Obama's visit to Egyypt was aimed at the Muslim world in general and the Arab world in particular. Some people even suggested that he would have chosen Indonesia rather than Egypy because it is the largest and most populous Muslim country. However, Indonesia is not an Arab country while is a Muslim country as well as Arab country. Egypt signed the historic Camp David Accord with Israel.... don't forget that! Lastly, he visited Mexico, Asia and Europe before Africa.

The economy was already going down the shitter when Obama took office. I'm no expert on economics, yes his admin. is spending, but isn't it all for a good cause in the long run-to create jobs and stuff? Well, all I'm saying is let Obama try it his way. If he turns out not to be a good President you all can vote him out next time around. But don't expect miracles to happen in 5 months. Obama himself said it would take even more than one term to turn things around.

2. Rather, a candid U.S help for this continent should be designed from the U.S congress with the collaboration of the African Union (A.U).

You are wrong. Obama's visit DOES help - albeit in a small, symbolic way. He is rewarding a fairly good democracy, which he SHOULD do! But yes, Africa needs to get its act together and undemocratic "leaders" need to GO! NOW. Economically, Africa needs to PRODUCE things instead of importing everything! No wealth is created there, and it shows.

Listen, Africans. Obama has the right to visit the Antartica if he chooses. If he chooses Ghana over Kenya, so be it.
But the most important question is: Is such visit the best thing for Africa right now? Will it solve our problems even one bit? Here's what could be done:
The U.S, just like it forced its way to Iraq, can force Africa's president's to have only two-term limits. Let the African Union be involved in this bid. Much of Africa's problems emanates from instability right now.

True. Egypt is in Africa but Obama's visit to Egyypt was aimed at the Muslim world in general and the Arab world in particular. Some people even suggested that he would have chosen Indonesia rather than Egypy because it is the largest and most populous Muslim country. However, Indonesia is not an Arab country while is a Muslim country as well as Arab country. Egypt signed the historic Camp David Accord with Israel.... don't forget that! Lastly, he visited Mexico, Asia and Europe before Africa.

Ghana is considered to be "more" African than Egypt since Egypt is part of Middle East too. But I really do understand why Obama has chosen to visit Ghana his first official trip to an African County south of Sahara. The previous election showed Ghana has entered the club of stabil democraties and such entrance deserves notification. However, It is a shame the visit is only symbolic which means Obama and his family have too little time to see what beautiful country Ghana is.

LOL! When was the last time you heard of free and fair elections in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, etc. all of which Obama has visited and even genuflected to the King of Saudi. If Obama's concern is democracy, then, what business did he have going to those countries? His presence is okay, but, his administration doesn't have Africa high on its list of priorities as will become clear at the end of his first term. Can you count the number of Arab, European and Asian countries he's visited?

Yes, Egypt was the first African country President Obama visited. Many people to this day do not know that Egypt is in Africa, and definitely do not realize that the ancient Egyptians were indigenous Africans -- meaning Black. Maybe one day history will be taught and learned in its authenticity. I share with the joy of those at home for Obama's visit. However, we must not let this one trip further divide African nations. President Obama cannot visit 18 million African countires in one day.

But, indeed Ghana is the best choice. Nigeria needs an official elected. Obama went to Iraq... Means that he can go to any African country as well.
