the burning out is to warm the tires and make the rubber softer. At the same time, it heats the tarmac too, and therefore.... more grip, or as much as possible.

He geared by pressing buttoms on the steeringwheel with his right hand. if you noticed that :P, It's like drivning a car on a playstation, AWD and gearshifting without the clutch only by buttoms on the steeringwheel, not much driving skill needed for that :)
It wouldn't be that hard to make a burnout with that kind of car, it's another thing to drive it of course, but there is no way in hell the G-forces make differences when you keeping your hands on the steeringwheel and shifting gears by an easy touch with your right thumb. the hardest thing to do in this case would be to keep the traction on the first gear.. I can't imagine that anything else would be hard enough for me to drive a good 1/4 mil run

ok.. i wuld luv to see you burn out and launch and shift perfectly in a 8.8 second skyline.. imagine all the g forces.. its not easy
