  • cool video!

  • pretty good i got a red rose trantula its a femaile its not eating for a wile can you tell me why shes not eating thnks.

  • @zombiekilla35

Rose hairs are famously known for unpredictable temperaments and feeding patterns. Its very NORMAL for them to go off periods non-eating. Keeping in mind. G.rosea is a very very slow growing species, therefore fast regularly. I have had my red rose sling go without food for a period of 2-4 months, to find out she molted.

  • hey Umm Jon Have They Ever Escaped? D:

  • @jasmin97luv

I had a few that escaped

  • how many pets do you have i see all the tanks in the back got any snakes????

  • @pdinofender

this was an old video.. I have 117 Tarantulas, and 2 scorpions. No snakes.

  • @Jon3800 holy shit got any bird eating tarantulas ??? or any other really big spiders

  • @pdinofender

Well I got a few bird eaters. The biggest one I have a mature pair of Theraphosa stirmi - Burgundy Goliath Bird Eater. An 11 inch male and 10.5 inch female.

    watch?v=z2fW3WSuOIs

This is a video of me mating the pair to give you an idea of their immense size. If you have a $ bill handy, that's how big they are

  • @Jon3800 OMG!!! THATS AWSOME..... its kinda sad when a little spider scares me but one thats as big a dinne plate doesnt thank you

  • @Jon3800 whats your biggest spider and do you have a video of it ????? and if so can you give me the link. :D

  • Dude, you're lucky to have so many beautiful pets! Love them with all your might, man... love them with all your might |3

A plain video, yet blandly entertaining somehow. By the way, do those containers you keep your scorpions and tarantulas in have breathing holes? If not, makes me worry a bit... :I

  • @FlareTheDemon

    they have plenty of airholes

  • @Jon3800 Oh, ok. Great. :3 It's just hard to see the air holes with the quality of your video is all.

  • The real question is do all these pets fill the hole in your life where a girlfriend should be?

  • @MikeyLikesIt357

I wish that were the case but no

  • okay =D

  • i think some enclosres are to small ..

  • @IIIKWRIIIMovieMaker

enclosures are fine. They don't need a lot of room to be happy

  • my rose hair wont eat i even tried putting the cricket up to her fangs and she look like she wont it but she woundnt take it im confused what should i do

  • @sailor5687

really can't do much. Roseas are well known for not eating. Seems like its a territorial bite

  • @sailor5687 is she preparing for a molt?

  • @sailor5687 if your rose hair won't eat leave the cricket in there and in the morning it probably will be gone, you just need to remember tarantulas are nocturnal.

  • @TNTdrummerRjHarrison

not necessarily always the case, especially with rose hairs. They have a nasty habit of refusing food for months, and when they're prepping for a molt, they'll lose the need for food

  • what would win in a fight a t and scorpion with similar size and venom

  • @sailor5687

scorpion has the advantage of the stinger

  • Okay do you remeber which place online I'm looking for some and for a cheap price. I think they look beautiful. I have 2 desert hairy which I successfully made them breed today:) now I just have to wait and I also have a emperor scorp along with a nasty aggressive golden baboon tarantula :)

  • @salasmoses

I got them from an dealer near my area, but it's in Canada. I did find swiftsinverts(dot)com selling 1/2 inchers for $12, I believe they ship across US.

  • hey where do you get the rusty scorp? they dont have any where i am at in florida :(

  • @salasmoses

I got them from an online dealer

  • lmao that babycurus jacksoni pwned the cricket. when it stung it probably impaled the cricket

  • How often do you clean/change the bird eaters tanks? do they stink at all?and how do you change it back you would have to move the tarantula right? im going to buy a tarantula and i need these answers cuz i dont know what to do when i have to clean the tank.

  • tarantulas tank do not stink. They only stink if dead crickets are left than 3 days. They should be cleaned twice a year. Simply take a big, large cup, put it near the tarantula and coax it in with a paintbrush

  • is the rusty scorpion venomes

  • All scorpions are venomous. It's more potent then an emperor

  • loving the scorpions feeding responces

    great video

  • thanks

  • hey jon do u have to change T´s substrate every certain time or something?

sorry for my english i´m from Mexico

  • I change it once a year

  • hi, i wonderd if Nhandu vulpinus is a aggresive T? and how big do they gett?

    tnx for previous responses=)

  • Actually, we again faced another name change lol, we have to call N.vulpinus now N.trippepii

For a Nhandu, its pretty defensive. More so than my coloratovillosus (all I see from her is skittishness). Mine will readily throw quick strikes if I water her dish and moisten the substrate. But that's only my specimen, each on is different

  • i breeded crickets kind of....they had babys in my grammastola roseas tank

  • do you breed crickets?

  • I tried to, but they die off so fast

  • jon how moist should i keep my haplopelmas and have you ever seen the thicktails squirt venom

  • fairly moist and no I haven't seen the spitting thicktails. I would never get one

  • john im gonna b getting a emperor how often do u think i should feed it

  • the same way as I feed the Ts. The only difference here that emperors won't do a spectacular attack, they'll crush the cricket with its immense pinchers

  • cool the l.d. didn't do a threat posture

  • Be careful with thicktail scorpions cause they can spit venom

  • these dont spit

  • good

  • Do You Breed Do you have a website?

  • i don't breed yet, and no website

  • that chaco goldenknee is INSAIN!! lol. i would love to have one someday. i know they get big tho, are they easy to raise from that age?

  • i have no problem in raising them. I raised 1/2 inch slings to 2 inch juveniles in 2 years

  • Do scorpions make good pets?

    I might get a emperor someday.lol

cuz i think they are cool looking and got weak venom.

  • They are like keeping tarantulas but I prefer tarantulas more. Emperors are bit boring in my opinion, desert hairys are much cooler

  • i just bought my first T (chilean rose hair) and a red trapdoor spider today at the hamburg PA reptile expo. very awesome

  • cool beans. Watch out for the trap door, very vicious

  • i like the tarantulas cool and the

    scorpions

  • the last T is sweeet!

  • Blimey! i bet you don't get many visitors lol

  • You got a nice collection... Like the videos and I also buy from tarantulacanada

  • i just got a hadrurus arizonensis and i use a heat lamp during the day and a red nocturnal heat lamp at night. is this ok or should i turn of the light? bc arent they used to a 40 degree desert at night?

  • that seems good. I'd probably use no lamp at night

  • are vertabrates as dangerous to scorpions as they are to tarantulas

  • yes, scorpions, tarantulas, and centipedes are inverts, so they can't take in calcium

  • Oh wow! fast. How dangerous are these and have you been attacked and bitten. Are the small one more dangerous than the big ones because the venom has to work faster? I have got to say I have sat here itching and looking around me lol

  • never been attacked or bitten. scorpion stings will hurt bad, T venom is only mild, but severe if you collect the ones outside of the american continents

  • You're adorable and so are your arachnids. :D

  • i gotta ask another question im sorry. you seem to have a lot of spiders/scorpions in there. how, in those cases do u provide the proper heating and moisture for all those. especially that shelf filled with them lol. is it like really hot in that room or something? and im not sure but i believe i saw a humidifier. does that help? i ask bc i plan to house as many scorps one day but its too much lighting to worry about

  • the room is kept between 78 and 82F. That humidifier doesn't help retain the moisture in the tanks, I use it only when they molt so I can give it enough humidity so it can molt properly. I mist or pour water over the substrate every week or so

  • Man I would not even touch it :P dont know why but Im scared of them :P But anyway respect :]

  • another thing is i get so nervous about them not eating im always leaving 1 or 2 crickets in there for them. i leave food for the crickets of course so they dnt eat my scorps, but could their presense in the tank be stressing them? ive had many other scorpions and never had problems with feeding

  • this could be stress related, or they are in premolt

  • ok i have a question plz respond itll help a lot. i have 2 adult hadogenes troglodytes that i bought from a reptile show about 3 weeks ago. in a 20 gallon tank. i give them temps always in the 80's or so and day and night time cycles. but im having trouble feeding them. no matter what i push at them or throw in they dnt seem too interested. i have plenty or slate and wooden hides so they shouldnt be stressed. any ideas?

  • kinda sound like what my B.jacksoni does.

I don't know much about scorpions and they're feeding habits other than B.jacksoni, H.arizonensis and P.imperator.

From what I've seen my B.jacksoni do, they never eat when people are watching. I just dump in there and they're gone the next day.

  • how much in england and where from

  • about 2.5 to about 1000 pounds. Get them from pet stores of online dealers

  • how much dus a tarantula cost to buy

  • anywhere between $5 to as much as $2000

  • so many of em

    SUBSCRIBE i hope u get money :D

  • Ha, I didn't even know you had scorpions! The Chaco reminded me of a funnel weaver hunt I once saw where the spider took the caterpillar and rolled. I've now called this wild spider "Bond" even though I think it's a female. Dang you prey items being smart! Watch that loose cricket become a really loud male! X-D

  • ya, i only have 3 of them

  • Ya, I'm sure you do but let's your face behind a camera and let's see who is one.

  • wow some of the worst spelling ever!

  • true :)

  • I used to have a scorpion... it had like 30 babies, then they all died exept for one, then the mother died, then the last baby died.... :(

  • were they emperor scorpions

  • HOW DID YOU KNOW?!?!?!

  • lucky guess. I actually had some emperors that gave birth, first some babies died then so did the mother

  • Oh, I just thought I was a really bad owner...

  • they're pretty hard to raise

  • wow, now i want a scorpion =/. there soo cool!!!!!

  • have your crickets/roches govt babies??(lol)

  • no.

  • ashley is awesome, very pretty

  • Thanks :)

  • hey man im just curious, why havent you ever started a roach colony?

  • Tough to start a colony when ur living with your folks

  • oh i guess so, well i am living with my parents also and I got them from my uncle because he didnt need them for his geckos anymore, they are Blaberus Fusca

  • nice :)

  • where do you get those glass water dishes?

    they look nice

  • dollar store

  • what does it mean when a spider molts?

  • it grows larger, its like a reptile shedding skin, same principal

  • which one is your most expensive. how much does it cost

  • Gooty Sapphire Ornamental. Bought it as a sling for $220, now she's worth $700

  • Ok Jon, the Ornatas attack was amazing, AMAZING, enough to get you to curse, lol.

  • lol, those are pokies for ya :)

  • im curious, what else do you feed your pets? mice?

  • crickets only, no mice

  • good because feeding them mice is sad :/

  • i know, its also dangerous for the tarantula

  • Are desert hairy scorpions hard to take care of? Can you make a setup and care video for the desert hairy scorpion.I also subed

  • very easy to take care of. I have an old video of one. Im not remaking it since my specimen has died

  • thanks ^^

  • if you have scorpion videos pls send names of them cuz i cant find them

  • I will do a Babycurus jacksoni caresheet video. But if u search scorpions as a key word in my videos list, they should appear

  • jon 3800 how many pets have you got , altough i admire spiders they creep me out weirdly enough i dont mind scorpions

  • My pets include 57 tarantulas, 3 scorpions , 2 beta fish and a female shih tzu

  • I guess they were hungry! :)

  • ohya they're great eaters

  • ooo cool so a 3 hour difference from where i live!

  • cool

  • so its almost midnite in canada???

  • noon

  • so u never have stuff shipped to you??

  • I had some, takes a day

  • meant am no pm

  • sweet dude,so about the same size as USA medium ones, what time is it in CAn right now??and im currently waiting on some Ts to arrive, what time does expres usually come by?

  • 11:37pm

don't know, I go to my dealer in person to pick up the tarantulas

  • hey jon can u do me a favor, can u measure ur Kritter keepers width and length, just curious how wide and tall urs are!

  • Krab keepers are 25.5 cm long, 15.5cm width and 18 cm tall

  • that ornata went crazy for this crickets im looking forawrd to my new pokies!! are they that fast as 1' and 2" slings>?

  • wait to ull see vid 3

  • Most arboreal slings as small as 1/4 inch are hard to catch

  • There ya go. More money for T's. How much a pop? Im trying to breed and sell slings on the side, so I may be able to live w/ out a partnership for now. I am employed, so its not total dependency on my T's to make a living. LOL

  • get about 30-50 cents a day, depending on how many ads ppl click

  • You mean the attached ads that were on your vids for a while or the number of comments you get per video? I guess Im confused. Probably cause Im not a partner.

  • the adsense feeds underneath the videos and the advertisements above the video description

  • I wouldn't get one anyway. My vocab doesn't exactly come without explicity. lol. Me having a cyber, censored partnership is like asking a piranha not to eat a goldfish. Its against nature. Except Im going to hell for it. lol

  • the beauty about the partnership, is that you get paid for posting videos

  • Did your You Tube partnership have anything to do with your F-bomb being censored-sort of? My old minax went off at me the first time I gave it food. Was trying to feed it a roach and couldn't get it off my fingers so I flung it as hard as I could towards the spider and it abruptly shot its legs up. It got the roach not long after and hardly left anything of it except a wing and a couple of legs. Thats all I found of it. Wasn't worth my safety to search for more.

  • no, I inserted the bleep, you can't really swear when you have a partnership

  • HAHAHA the minax actually made me jump.

  • lol, so did I

  • awesome feeding video!! that thailand black almost got you lol! and that chaco kinda did the same thing my little brazlian black sling did yesterday, the cricket when by her and jumped back and she jumped up and tackled her in mid air and slamed her on the ground it was sweeeet! and my B.klaasi molted a few days ago and actually has color and got a lot bigger!! looks like my GBB is gonna molt soon, she actually refused food for the first time! and shes been acting sluggish like my klaasi was

  • Ya, thats sounds like a molt, congrats

  • LOL I like the way you bleeped out the swearing.......

  • holly what jon ,lol , made me laugh

  • Ya, I immitated Chris Rock from Rush hour

  • You mean Chris Tucker?

  • Oh crud, yup :)

  • awsome video Jon and thanks for keeping me posted
