Weird! I was born in Newbottle in 1962; William Terrace, which has now been demolished but used to be on the right as you travel down the bank from the Queens.
My family moved to Shiney Row when I was about six - in fact my brother still lives there but I don't visit too often.
i left in 1984 well before this new estate was built but still have some fond memories - and some shit ones too.
