you cant powershift and possibly worse your shift drops below the next shift point and you get a nice back and forth jerk and youre not moving anywhere
it also more likely to detonate and lose tq. at high rpm
I find its cool, you will get used to it quite quickly. The bitch is hills. If you have to go up alot of hills its a pain because u have taken all the weight out the flywheel which helps inertia. So basically u have to rev like up to 3000 and get the tires to break traction in order to move off properly, but again u will get used to it, its worth it :)
I found the same thing test driving one yesterday. I'm thinking of possibly getting the 6 speed manual celica instead (2zz-ge) but the auto one I drove was gutless.
If the clutch is down and it is sitting still then no it won't. If the car is rolling in 1st gear and then clutch is depressed and revved, it will rev up to 8400 rpm.
what revs faster revs down faster which only matters in first gear but you need traction in first gear

lighter flywheel reduces performance by a lot

lastly you kill the crank end play bearing

How much harder has the flywheel made it as a daily? I heard its hard because yes it rev's faster but they fall faster too.

haha the tacho of fail...
probably not designed to rev that fast...ah well

Fool, without engine load at idle, the computer limits the revs to 7000 rpm. Once in gear, the rev limiter is set by the ECU at 8400 rpm.

i meant the tacho cant keep up...
if its a manual and you stick it in first, leaving the clutch in, will it rev up to 8400?
