Very cool! That departure has you climb quite a ways out over the ocean! Way cool to see! I took video of my takeoff out of there to Las Vegas, posted it here if your interested! ;) Thanks for sharing this video, love it!
jetblue is a great airline but i bet they can be even better if they partnered wit spirit air and become a merger wit spirit's low fares and jetblue's customer service
how long does jetblue leave the flaps at 1+f because on all flights ive seened/been on they leave em on for a long time i think its to climb steep fast slow and save fuel ya guys agree Saab34O
Length of time flaps are down or up and aircraft procedures like this don't have anything to do with the airline, it's got to do with the type of aircraft/weather conditions/Pilot discretion etc.
Yes it is. The ship is not far from the airport. On my first time flying into Long Beach two years ago, I could see the Queen Mary as the plane was landing. Something I will never forget. Truly amazing!:)
The Airbus took off on Runway 30. As a frequent flyer from LGB to ORD I know the drill well. Also, I think the Airbus 320 is a pile of shit for a jet- you hear every little slat and flap and the noise from the hydraulics drives you craazy. I much prefer the Boeing Jets, but I do like the free TV.
I have flown the Airbus a few time and never heard a flapping noise from the hydraulics. Maybe my heart was beating too loud to hear anything else. I like the aircraft, and I also like Boeing.

JetBlue, how about buying American then perhaps more patriotic people might fly on you. Airbus is subsidised to beat Boeing. I will never fly on your airline, I know a lot of others who wont either
What is American about not being able to choose the most cost effective product for your company? Are you suggesting JetBlue buy Boeing out of charity?
Flight's taking off from SE to NW... towards LAX. All flights taking off must turn due south and head over ocean to avoid traffic. Once airborne, they head back East, either N or S bound.
jetblue to hawaii? japan? pls don't be retarded. jetblue doesn't fly to that many places from LGB - it was likely either NYC, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Washington/Dulles or Oakland. I think they recently added Sacramento too.

JetBlue is starting there Embraer 190 West Coast service from SJC to LGB! I cant wait until it starts!
Sidekick4Life 3 years ago
Lately Jetblue has aquired many Embraer 190,195 from Brazil, and I much prefer those than the A320 or 319. They are quieter!!
Also David Neeleman, the founder of Jetblue like the Embraers so much he is planning on opening a new low-cost carrier in Brazil in 2009.

I don't get why they fly over the ocean. Could it be noise restrictions?
