  • Hi wahchef ,

I follow ur recipe regularly . For suji halwa you can add bay leaf and cardamom in ghee at first to get a more nice aroma

    .

  • Hey, I tried it and it turned out really nice, thanks :-)

  • You are a great chef and you deserve a big round of applause for all your mouth watering recipes. Butter chicken! Wow! My children simply love it. Thanks to you. God bless you!

how to make nice soft chappathi give me tips anna :)

  • hi ur kesari is very helpfull for me,thanks anna

  • u talk too much cook less

  • Comment removed

  • ok....i just advertised my blunder below....its 2.5 cups not 1.5....:-)

  • anna, thanks for the recipe,

    1) 1 cup semolina with 1.5 cups water/ milk is fine...but when it is 2 cups semolina, 3 cups water/milk is insufficient.....you need much more of water/milk

    2) dropping the raisins right in the beginning turns them into balloons indeed, but leaving them till the semolina turns brown , burns the raisins...

I have attempted sheera as many times as Edison tried inventing the light bulb...your video helped crack the "sheera code"...Thanks

  • he added too much eggs what will happen oh god!

  • u are very very humble guy....... u didnt even forget ur childood frens even though u are so popular.......................

  • Really its very Good. i m very happy with ur viedos chef.

  • God Save you of diabetes Mann....

    Kind Hearted Chef.. indeed.. :)

  • man you talk too much .just get on with the bloody cooking !

  • ahhhhh help me out chef ... i prepared the halwa but its extreme sweet .. i mean over sweet.. :( .. is it all wasted or can i do something to make it eatable :( ??

  • @STaTiCX8375 add more milk and more sooji to dilute the sugar overdose.

  • I use a little less than 3/4 cup of sugar, even so it's quite sweet. I also add some cardomom in the kesari (sooji halwa). I hope the kesari gets better with experience. The first time I made it, it was watery with some lumps and too sweet. Next time I will make it the way vahchef has made it, but without adding as much sugar.

  • extreme yummy .. i jus open the videoes for some dessert .. and now chef u confused me that i should make suji halwa or bombay karachi halwa.. both recipes are extreme easy and seems damm yummy ... now im going in my kitchen and i hope il make yummy desserts too :)

  • ACTUALL RECIPE IS:

1)you have to boil water adding suhar in it and keep it on stove till it complete dissolves

2)in other vessel let rava and ghee/desi ghee and just stir till rawa turns to slightly brownish colour(tis wont let rawa over cooked)and add your favourite dry fruits

3)in same add the boil water which was boiled with sugar, slowly(be careful and add slowly)

4)let it be for some time and stir it well

Your sweet sheera is now ready to serve :) try it and hope you get good taste!

  • i love this guy and his enthusiasm is amazing...he makes u wanna cook and relish the yummy Indian food.....love the sparkle in his eyes...I am away from home too and always crave for Indian food......thanks chef!!!

  • i have seen so many chef's recipes but you are just awesome....i like the way you present ur self.

  • With my cooking knowledge, his method of cooking this receipt is wrong. He should boil water before adding into the suji flour. Adding cold water will over cook the suji. Also adding water to suji floor without cooling the floor, will create lumps. This is a lazy mans version of Kesari. Have you seen anyone adding fried cashew, raisin and cooking it for so long? 'Don't try this!!'

  • @kkondola actually no .halwa is made many different ways .this is one of the most commonly used recipes & turns to be good. another recipe is the one u are talking about .magic is in roasting the samolina prefectly or the halwa tastes raw.

  • if you are from the U.S. you can use cream of wheat for the sooji.

  • @brookabeex33 i guess cream of wheat is precooked or so ? i found samolina easily in new york .

  • each time i watch his show, i realise i'm missing ingredients... god d*mn it, back to the shop.

  • Hello Chef. I am a fan from England. I have tried my hand at your recipes: sooji ka halwa, dal makhani, rajma and spicy vegetable pulao and I can't thank you enough as My Mother was away on vacation and because of your videos I managed to keep hunger locked up. Regards.

I searched in Utube.. unable to find it... I badly need to prepare a gud kesari because its been two years i had that..

  • Thank you Chef. Before you added the water, your dish looked just like sooji panjeeri. My room mate's mother used to make a big batch to take to college. Friends would to sneak a spoonful every chance we got. You could see who was guilty by the bits of sooji around the culprits mouth. The treat which was supposed to last a few weeks always disappeared within a couple of days.

At least my friend was saved from getting too fat.

  • To all damn indians and to muslim brothers, this recipe is a mughal recipe and not bloody indian recipe. bastards.

  • You are a nut case! I am Pakistani and can confidently state that we were Indians once. And yes Mughals were Indians too. Don't be blinded by nationalism. Sub-Continent has a rich heritage and as a proud Pakistani I wish nothing bad to our brother India.

  • I can tell one thing for sure, some Muslim Pakistani you are....swearing like this in the month of Ramadan.!

No need to get emotional, are Indians not human? are they not children of Adam (as) according to our religious belief. Keep up your foolishness and dream on living in fantasy world! By saying that India and Pakistan have a common culinary history, you do not become any lesser Pakistani. Learn to talk with respect and reason. Maybe that would take you somewhere in life.

  • I know surinam indians make it with flower, but I shure this tastes great as well. And yes we call it mohanbhog and it's offered as persaad. i love it I just made some yum!!!

  • @aliuk28 mughals came from iran?? do you have any idea of history u fool. babur was an ethnic kazakh. In schoolbooks in kazakhstan they read about babur. idiot.

  • @iftagonkhan Mr. Khan with this kind of comment, you are showing what you are, and bringing shame to your nation.

  • @iftagonkhan, mughals were Mughals & they were not Indians.

  • @iftagonkhan

For heavens sake this is a cookery video. cant we keep politics out of it for a change? I am sure the sub-continent has a very rich culture shared by many before the british divded us into seperate countries. .
