  • I got this book awhile back and i have to say its pretty good

  • A book that lives either in my pocket or my pack.

  • good book

  • I bought the app on my ipod

  • I just got this in the mail and have been thumbing through it. I seriously can't believe how much stuff is in it. It covers 100x more than I could even imagine it would. I plan on reading it cover to cover many, many times.

  • @Zakiuz101 Damn right.. The first celeb i would love to have by my side on a survival situation.

  • @Zakiuz101 I don't like phony hollywood survivalists and the way the show is produced, sorry for not being clear english is not my native language. Bear's show is for entertainment and there are better ways to do stuff he does on TV, but I bow my head to his experiance and skillset, not many guys can pass SAS selection.

  • @Zakiuz101 Bear is one hell of a man,but the show isn't focused on die hard survivalists/outdoorsmen, that's why I don't like it that much. He got himself injured performing one of those stunts I'm talking about. Check this out : wwwDOTwilderness-survivalDOTnet/forums/showthread.php?15914-Phony-Survivalist-Bear-Grylls-Injured-in-the-Wild replace DOT with .

  • @Zakiuz101 No one with a sane mind would do these crazy stunts, they decrease your chance of survival. I'd love to see lofty young, there are a lot of good survival experts these days but not on tv, shows are supposed to be entertaining not teaching.

  • @Zakiuz101 Modern survivor-Hollywoody suicidal showman, Lofty-for me he's an old timer, trust me he's been around more places than native americans, he even uses similar techniques...

  • That man is a no BS survival expert, I would love to see him on tv doing survival not modern survivalists backflipping into the water...

  • Not sure whether i should get the mini handbook or the book?

  • this guy is the "real deal" i've got one of his books, and it covers EVERYTHING from edible plants to building fires and shelters

  • Iv got his Survival book and also the Urban one, as well as the tin of supplies. Im going to look for the DVD now. Thanks for the video.

  • @SadlyDiscontinued not that i can tell, but i have not read it cover as i refer to what i need at the time

  • You guys know he is much more then a Survival guy right? He was the youngest person to join the SAS and basicaly SET the standard when he ran the courses.... I is the only one to do so.

  • John's the man, always has been in my eyes, he was here before Gay Mears and Spare Grills. I got this book out of the library and would keep having it repeated until one day they had a book sale and it was in for 50p......bargain and will always be on my shelf....

  • yeah ive read it from front to back back to front im 16 and even the knowledge is easy for me to apply seeing i have minimal knowledge 5/5 book

  • very nice ;)
