  • worst camra ever

  • I know one thing you learned in your high school...to cuss like a sailor on shore leave...very impressive...NOT !!!!!!! Grainy video peppered with profanity...thanks

  • @lisaeyles you obviously didn't read the info he put....

  • @lisaeyles u would cuss like a sailor to if you seen a tornado in person

  • 75% of all tornadoes that occur on the planet Earth occur in the United States. And 75% of *those* tornadoes occur in 4 states. Think about that! As a weather phenomenon, tornadoes basically occur on a DOT on the planet. When was the last time you heard of a tornado ravaging France, Italy, Russia, Mexico, Canada, or North Dakota for that matter? And yet a state like Oklahoma will get 20 in one day! It's crazy.

  • hì_ÀÑyÒÑÈ_wâÑNá_chàt_with_mê_î_fÊel_sÔ_lonêlÿ_tòÐÀY..

  • I remember this day clearly in my mind even tho I live in N. Carolina. I got out of school early on this day && i turned on The Weather Channel && I remember Dr Greg Forbes (the severe weather expert) and Jim Cantore kept saying that Enterprise High School took a direct hit from this tornado and that there were students trapped...it was happening live on Doppler radar....

  • Wazzup with the frame rate?

  • I keep hearing about the EIGHT people that lost their lives but there was NINE. 8 high school students and an elderly lady that lived on the corner of my street. RIP Mrs. Strickland!

  • my sister was in the tornado

  • i was in the fifth grade at hillcrest elementary school in said school when it happend it changed me

  • My name is Logan Duncan.I am a senior and I go to Enterprise High School, class of 2011! My class will be the first to graduate from the new school they just built and the schools huge as hell! It took to long to build a school and they aint even getting the soccer stadium up in time for our next soccer season which upsets me cause I've played varsity for EHS since 9th grade. but just so ya'll know they finally built the school. remember the 8! David Logan Duncan signin out

  • dang this video was showed at lots of places even on storm stories!

  • What is now?? 6 Fucking years and the lazy Mother Fuckers have still not built these kids another school.Ofcourse with a corrupt local Govt scamming money from the project and an ultra Corrupt Gov. Maybe the Kids that were in 1st grade when it happened can have a High school

  • Im sorry if i make anyone upset or dissprespectful....

  • i was scared when this happened

    its so sad

  • Man i remember this day so vividly i was worried that somethin wud happen my aunt and cuzins. I was just roaming the hallways of Elba High School till i hurd the siren and the bell rang i just ran back to my first block class

  • oo i remember that day it was scary all right i was in grade 2 this year i am in grade 5

    it was scary

  • Yeah, it definitely wasn't funny. I went to Dothan High School, 20 minutes away. We lost 8 of our friends that day. It was a serious tragedy. I can't believe it's been almost 3 years.

  • Yeah that whole day was scary, I live in Dothan too, I remeber getting off school listening to the radio and someone called in saying there was a tornado touchdown near Enterprise High School.

  • I remember this day. It was sooooo terriblee :(

  • funny but awesome

  • Dude that wasnt funny 8 people died that day. Coffee County will never 4get dis horrible day

  • i was on the first hall when it came

    that was so scary

  • i miss pj 2

  • I was in ozark at the time. i was in third grade and the power went out. it was pith dark for 2hours until finally my dad picked me up

  • i was there at hillcrest elementary me and my friend sandra went into shock and hyperventalated

  • Worst day of my life. i lost my bestfriend peter dunn(pj). I tried calln a thousand times, and found out the next day. i had never went to sleep, and the next day i took a long nap, one of the most relaxing 2. the phone had ring and my brother told me the news.

  • I heard the sirens in the background.

  • so did i funny but sad

  • You Ass it isnt funny I was there!

  • It formed over my house, and went on to the High School. All 8 are in my prayers. Especially Sean Vidensik. I know him and I saw his sister thae moday before the tornado.

  • Yes Sean is one of my best friends

  • I know Sean, but we aren't really friends. I still feel sorry for him, and everyone else who lost all their belongings, and loved ones. I wasn't in Enterprise for one year and this happens. I just wish there was a good reason to say why this happened.

  • i miss u Jamie ur in my prayers i cant belive ur gone it must be sad to see 8 young bodies lieing there dead no movemet the prom up soon so rachael ray and buddies helped thx for the support

  • that was one of if not the worst day of my life, katie i miss you.

  • I remember this too

  • no sirens?

  • i live in opp and my mom works at the winn dixie there i was so worried about her!

  • It missed my house by exactly a block - my kids were in school but my wife heard the weather report and got them home. My wife, 3 kids,2 cats, 2 dogs, 3 snakes, and 2 hermit crabs were in the bathtub with a mattress over there heads when it struck the school. I was in Tennessee on business but came back to Enterprise the next day. It was another 24 hours until I could get back in my house because of the road blocks. Never forget out citizens who perished on that day....

  • youre gay and are on drugs you have no friends retard

  • i live in alabama umm huston county to be exact and i remeber like when we had bad weather on wednessday? i think he sad that we had a quick tornado very close to the school but it was so quick the sirins dident go off. and he also sad one time a tornado went throught enterprize and picked up his sons truck and raped it around one of them stadioum light poled

  • classy

  • wow

    i live here

and another tornado came by my skool

    at coppinville

    RIP in March 1st

  • while everyone heads for the basement, i go outside with me camera :) ive already filmed about 5 but my camera crashe sadly, and i have no more footage :(

  • i had an instructor at act in dotahan who lives in enerprise and he said tha was a living hell when that happened

  • I remember that day. It was VERY upsetting. I am from Talladega, and glad the tornadoe didn't get us.

    God Bless them all.

  • my cuz was in that an he almost died

  • I was there...:(

  • My family and I lived right off alberta st. and we were lived on Janice st. We Got Hit and we all were home when it tagged us, but my heart goes out to all that lost. One of my friend's sister died (Michele Vidensik) in that tornado.

  • that makes mewant to cry so hard! and when i was at school that day out in the hall i almost cried and all i was thinking about was my cousins because i was afraid they were going to pass away.but there are somethings in life you can't help or fix once they happen and what you can do is help when they are with you and teasure them while you can.....=(

  • my sister's best friend lived there in enterprise and died in the tornado. she was Katy Strunk.(Not my sister the girl that died.) and my cousins live EXTREMELY close to where that happened. the thing with katy was that her mom was about to go eat lunch with her and theydidn't know the tornado had started and Katy had to go with herclass in the gym (she didn't know what was going on) and her mom went to go get the lunch and when the mom came back with the lunch Katy got crushed by a brick wall.

  • ....I'm sorry...

  • I'm from southeast Alabama and I believe at my high school at the time it hit EHS we were either just getting in the halls or just getting up, but we were all really shocked the next day to learn how not far away it was when it hit them. It was a big deal. My mom thinks she recognized one of the girls as one of her regular customers. I'm fortunate to have never been hurt in a storm here, but my heart goes out to all that are.

  • Sorry, bad memory, we had just gotten out of school at 1:00 when it hit them.

  • was this on march 1st?

  • My cousins and aunt and uncle was near this when it hit.

  • scary

  • I'm living in Eneterprise again for the second time. I hate it. However, the town didn't deserve a tornado. I saw the school for the first time today. It's fucked!

  • My dad lived there for years. Maybe you knew the family?

  • Yeh, still bad though ;[ I've actualy been studying tornados for 1year now and im only 14, planning on being a Storm chaser or storm researcher when im older ;]

  • Find that footage quite upsetting. Thinking I live in the Uk where we very rarely get tornados, and if we do they're only like f1-f3 rated ;[

That tornado was only a few months ago, and to think that young people lost their lives is quite upsetting ;[

  • the footage doesn't show the detail that I could see from there. From my perspective you could see huge chunks of debris and wood flying all throughout the tornado. It is an understatement.

  • @AndyJumpx Yeah thats a lucky thing about living there. I live in the USA in a state called New York. We dont get that many either =]

  • @322trod i live in yuma nothing happens

  • my school was like a mile away from ehs i went to old jr im goin to jr college this year though

  • Pretty cool, but hope everyone is doing okay that got injured. I am still praying for the students that got killed.

  • I didn't get hurt, but I was living on Dixie Drive when it happened and I had to move out and there where people trapped in their houses and I was actually sick from school that day so it was pretty much the worst day of my life! But ya, it DID NOT sound like a freight train for sure. Though whenever it hit our house the pressure in our safe room (the bathroom) was so freakin' intense we couldn't hear much, but like glass and the roof coming off! This is some good video footage though!

  • its so unfair that i never got to see it.. i was in the high school and my family was in our house that was also hit. but hey, its cool that some crazy bitch like yourself got it on tape :] it made me cry..

  • Nice angle that you just captured....I wouldnt worry bout the language...you should have heard the words I invented during that...we were in the path. Glad you were ok...

  • I love how there is a big freaken Tornado and people are just driving around like it's nothing.

  • Roflmao

  • well if u notice they are all driving away from the tornado

  • Almost every time it storms in Alabama, we get a tornado watch or warning. It's really nothing new to us.

  • that's kinda scary though ur more threatened by death =/ well i wouldn't know...i live in a place where there are no tornadoes...well maybe a couple but's thats just about it ^-^

  • that's what I thought the day I lost my house on Dixie! lol!

  • hahaha lol or they just stand outside and watch =]

  • That's amazing, thanks for posting it!

  • O_O

  • AHHHHHHHHHH

  • we had a f2 tornado come throuh columbus ga. that day i was luck it tuched down 2 miles away it messed up vetrans parkway tore up a drug store 3 sub divsions a lot of hotels a car lot burger king mcdonalds a bike shop some other buildings a erea of resterants i was folowing the tornado me and my friend were driving down the highway when it tuched down i was a little scared but it was ok im still here

  • well real americans live here

  • everyone is speeding down the road cause they are so afraid.. This is cool

  • I HATE TORNADOS! :O

  • i hope alabama can recover from this terrible disaster. Love sent to the family's that have lost their homes and loved ones =]

  • wow, this is great footage, what do you do, are you in the Army or just work on the post?

  • wedge tornado, huge F-3 wooobooloooooo! =P

  • That was the first tonado I've ever experienced in my life, and hopefully the last. So sad about the highschool as well. Good video. Shocking to see how big it was.

  • Shit, that thing is huge. I hadn't realized it was so big. I'm a tornado-phile but I hate hearing about such horrible aftermaths. My thoughts and prayers are with all who were affected.

  • Wow crazy video.

  • Obviously I take it that you're assigned to Ft. Rucker. What was their response to the event? I thought I saw a couple of FLAT IRON Huey's at the school grounds immediately afterwards

  • this was a very dangerous wedge tornado. you were wise to not chade this one, the upper half of wedge tornadoes dispatch an incredible amount of debris. Looking at more and more pictures and video, the rating of EF-3 is accurate. I do think there will be isolated pockets of EF-4 damage, but overall. This is what a very strong EF-3 is capable of. Thank God that's all it was.

  • Hey ProfessorIgor :), how's it going buddy? :)

I second that wholeheartedly, especially if it was a multiple vortex tornado.

No matter what the rating though, the loss of life is always a sad thing, and my heart goes out to everyone affected.

  • I third that. EF-3 with some peak time of EF-4. My heart goes out to those who lost loved ones.

  • It's been upgraded to an EF-4.

  • really?! when did they do that?

  • I am so sorry this happened to you all. I live in Oklahoma, and we are way too familiar with this kinda thing. But for the tornado to hit the high school-thats horrible. I Pray that Enterprise and all the areas hit recently to a fast and speedy recovery-and comfort those who lost loved ones and property in these storms. I think they should set up an account to accept donations for this.

  • dang!! I was hoping you'd go to the left, and get a shot of it, with the sun BEHIND you!!

  • Great work!

  • wow I live a couple hours north of there and it's really really amazing that there was a horrific tornadeo and all we got was rain, this is such a sad sad time

  • Just incredible. I live about 3 hours to the north and it's just sad. I have a big interest in weather and as I watched that storm yesterday it was obvious there was a large tornado. :(

  • My heart goes out to all in Enterprise, Alabama on this horrific tornado. I was in a tornado myself a few years ago in New Jersey...that's right even in NJ we get tornadoes too.

  • Great video, especially under the circumstances

Prayers and condolences for those involved

  • yeah uhh...im in middle school at dauphin which is 1/2 a mile away from the high school. i walked from dauphin to the high school b4, which is about 5 minutes

  • wow that's crazy, i was on Fort Rucker when it happened. i went out today and highway 27 is completely jacked up

  • Im from the UK and this unfortunte event was on the news today and I really thought about everyone who was involved. My sympathy and saddness goes to the families of those kids who died when the roof caved in at the school, and I understand a old woman was killed in her home down the road as well. We were informed regularly of the latest by one of the ABC correspondents as he was linked up to the BBC News channel in London. RIP. Thank you for the video.

  • Reports now say it was strong F3 or F4

  • thanks for posting right after it happend

  • I went to Enterprise High School before I moved and I know most of the people that were injured.

  • Amazing video. A very sad day for Enterprise and the other areas affected. Thank you very much for uploading it. Video of tornadoes from the south are rare. I have put together a DVD of over 30 eastern tornado videos called "Eastern Fury" at harkphoto dot com. The DVD shows that large and dangerous tornadoes are possible through the southeast and the threat of severe weather should be taken seriously.

    Bill (a storm chaser)

  • Hey Bill, Thanks for the comment. I'm from the north and didn't know how to react to such situation without basements! My first instinct was to pull off to the side of the road and get an idea of what direction the tornado was going and take cover in a ditch from there. Cont..

  • As you see in the video the storm turns away from me. Although you can not see the the debris in the video there were objects flying as large as contruction wood. I believe much of the traffic you see in the video were family of loved ones at the highschool. Much of Enterprise is Employed and populated by Fort Rucker. Cont...

  • I do know a curfew was issued and it was wise to be off the streets. Reports of panic stricken people driving 80mph down that same road trying to get to the school. Truely a sad day for everyone. Thanks again. John

  • Thank you John for replying and I'm glad that you had good road sense whilst recording this, as I can only imagine what it must be like in that situation.

Thank you Bill for posting, I have watched your video clips and you got some of the best footage around, I was wondering if you're aware if there were any chasers out on the road, in around Southern Alabama?

My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone that has been affected by this disaster.

  • There were a few storm chasers in Alabama but nobody was able to obtain any decent footage. The storms were moving very fast in areas with winding roads and poor visibility. Many chasers chose not to chase or waited in specific areas rather than trying to track these storms.

    Bill Hark

  • So far, this is the only video footage of this tornado that I'm aware of, unless there were stormchasers in the area at the time.

I'm saddened to hear of any fatalities, I just hope that those who have survived can rebuild their lives and come out stronger than before.

Thank you for uploading this, Top rating.

  • amazing vidoe ...

  • Wow...really cool. I am sad to hear about all the people who lost their lives today.
