While you can't really compare anyone to Elton, this was just boring as hell. Lacked all the emotion and inflection that makes the song so great. She may have a good voice, but this sounded like a nervous girl at karaoke night.

Yeh she so should have won, instead of Fat Michelle, Im an aussie who was living in London at the time and loved Susanne. Recently here in Australia we have something called sculptures by the sea that runs between Bondi and Tamarama beaches and on Tamarama beach there was this massive fat sculpture of a person and we called it Fat Michelle i memory of Michelle Mcmannus!!!

well, imo- i just don't think that her voice is srtrong enough for a pop competition. Not to say she isn't good, but i just don't think she has a pop voice. More of a indie type voice, she goes in and out of pitch on this performance too.

She actually topped the phone vote in this episode - together with the first live show, when she sang Ironic, she was the Pop Idol winner in two shows. She was great - shame she didn't win the whole thing!
