  • The most expensive "cymbal" he has there is $38.00

  • I feel like this guy might be awesome no matter what scraps of metal he hit... that being said those things look sweet, definitely ordering some bells.

  • What a dude. that huge ride like plate when it opens up sounds incredible.

    I wish I had one

  • whoa....

  • the world finally found some use for those old german iron crosses

  • what kind of hi-hat is that?

  • suena bien culero tus pinches laminas jajajaja

  • 7 poor people whos minds are very limited musically

  • de 3:00 a 3:07 es increible, priceless.....

  • 7 people dislike

    why?

  • wow....im really impressed by the guys playing and the unique sounds of these cymbals. i knew nothing of factory metal and nothing of gergo borlai? is he russian? what's his scoop?

  • @darrenedesignedu Wiki him.

  • @darrenedesignedu of course he si HUNGARIAN!!!

  • This shit owns"!

  • ride would be a good jazz ride :D

  • 2:54 till 3:00 is priceless haha

  • Seems to me that these would get bent and warped pretty quickly. Are they cheap? What are they made out of? The sound is great, but if I had to replace them every week or so, it doesn't seem like worth it.

  • @TinyClocks The website says they are made of high quality metal like aluminum and steel, so it's probably good.

  • I think these are stick KILLERS

  • this is pretty awesome i was thinkin about gettin some

  • I like the rectangle ones. Those sound badass.

  • best hi-hat jinglers ever

  • I hope his tetanus shot is up to date.

  • 1:20 nice

  • Tasty!

  • That would probably hurt to try and chock one of those huh?

  • THIS IS SO FUCKING COOL

  • Every helicopter has one of those ride cymbals in it.

  • Iron Crosses for the win^^

  • it reminds me of Phil Collins when he did stuff for Tarzan.

  • I could not see myself using these... unless I'm doing a wierd solo. I love the unique sound though.

  • Man them rectangular cymbals have short sustain! Love the bell-like cymbals as well.

  • those drums sound soooo amazing.

  • what is the wiggly simple that you wiggle with your hand called? great shit by the way

  • @kevinleft Gothic radius

  • those cymbals are crap! they sound like aluminum.

  • this is freaking amazing. i give mad credit to the cats that can improvise like this and still be creative like no other...

  • i seems as though these are made for effect, and the begining sounds like the ripple-ish effect from twisted transistor by korn

  • ... and he's a Man United Fan... :) Can't get any better

  • Debassssssz

  • I want that ride!!!!!

  • OMFG

  • I love that ride sound!!!

  • the finest drummer living

  • Does anyone else think that 2:37 sounds a little like the chime break from Queen's "Bicycle Race"

  • what mics did you use? The sound quality is awesome!

  • Outstanding.

  • lawn mower blades?

  • i really dont like the sound of those "cymbals"

but the guy has great talent

  • i want that effects ride

  • These cymbals are incredible o.O

  • @SabianTamaDrummer BUT.... Would you really call them cymbals?!?! I'd call them splashes myself....

  • @DrummaMuFucka a splash is a cymbal dumbshit

  • @SabianTamaDrummer Yea, Thanks tips, point is that these "cymbals" aren't solid pieces of metal, so, i would call them splashes.... Either way, they sound pretty cool...

  • @DrummaMuFucka haha yeah i get you :P

  • Just when I thought I was getting decent...

  • An interesting concept for cymbals. A bit *too* trashy/china sounding for my taste on a lot of the larger cymbals, but I can see how they would work well in conjunction with 'standard' cymbals.

  • it reminds me of fear factory style music

  • one word: WOW

  • 3:09 sounds AAAMAZING

  • i like this kinda cymbals cause

all drummers search for different cymbal sound

    they are just unique

  • so cool man

  • those are weird looking cymbals lol but they sound realy cool

  • These cymbals suck but i like the ride

  • @MaYbYl8eR they're fmp they're only to mix with your other cymbals to give weird fucked up sounds

  • It's too much... A mental orgasm

  • What is that first cymbal that you use with your hand?

  • wow this is amazing. im gettin me some of those. i dont have alot of money but maybe sheet metal or renolds wrap will give a nice genaric tone

  • i like the two rides

  • Man-U

  • That's was unreal

  • Especially the "splashes" sound pretty nice! :)

  • Does anyone know what the cymbals are, like the name.?

  • Celtic bells...

  • Fascinating!

  • Haha. This guy is quickly becoming one of my favs

  • those are cool, but they look really fragile, like they'd bend and break with little effort

  • yeah they are at guitar center i hit one just once and it bent haha

  • @yeeeeeeeeeeop Well you know you cannot count on demo stuff at G-center. Everyone comes in and beatings them like the stuff stole from them!!!

  • that is very true

  • Awesome playing! One question....why in the world are you wearing an AIG shirt????

  • manchester united... geez

  • greatest team in the world

  • excellent use of metals

  • gettin into Bozzio territory...........nice sound here.....great playin!

  • @fess04 not even near the size or gayness of bozzio though

  • really experiemental!!!! nice sounds!!! i like!!

  • i really only like the bell sounding cross ones.. the others i wouldnt put on my set. the long straight things are dumb. the ride kind of has a cool helicopter like sound tho its kinda neat..definitely would not use ALL factory metal cymbals on one set

  • Yeah, for "normal music" they would be limiting, but for something like industrial music or movie soundtracks they would be perfect...

  • @eltrevoso I'd love to be in a band with a drummer with a set like this. I write avant-garde music though.. so I guess that isn't 'normal' ;p

  • FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was in his performance in Debrecen, in the Csokonai theatre.....it was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks Gergo

  • Exelente...

  • these guys have innovated Effects Percussion.....The Helicopter like sounds and the fast decaying china sounds..... I really like them

  • anda a laburar!!! hdp!

  • wow that sounds horible. they all sound like pieces of tin

  • they are more useful if they spin by itself..u know...fan..

  • That solo was awesome!

  • Factory Metal Percussion sucks. I have tried them for myself, and I love trying new things, but they're just too quiet. They don't blend with the rest of the kit at all.

  • unless you have his drumset

  • those cymbals look kinda flimsy

  • Drumset it's a relatively young instrument... since its born, many innovations have been made. Very often, closed minded people doesn't accept changes to it (or anything). Obviously these instruments won't ever replace the most little cymbal... they simply are a new colour to add if we'd like them in our set. BTW, If white noise effects would be "garbage" one of the GREATEST drummers alive and of all times would never use them! ;-) Great Video!

  • who use it?

  • who uses them?? r u talking about jason bittner

  • Vinnie Colaiuta is using some of them from one year ago, and perhaps he's one of the most versatile drummers of all times (Zappa, Sting, Robben Ford, Megadeth, Karizma, over 15K records in session). Peace.

  • juz wonderin if all the cymbal fall on me and chop my head off..

  • not many drummers spend money on these cymbals because ther afraid to spend thier money on something different

  • ...And because they sound like crap.

  • That's the ONLY reason most don't spend their money on them.

  • The cymbals do sound ok, but i would not use all FM cymbals. But i have some in addition to my Zildjian cymbals.

And they are getting more popular, rhythm machine had a great review!

  • magazine*

  • lol

  • Most of this stuff sounds just too weird and I can't imagine how I could possible use it, but some of those pieces are interresting. For example the large cymbals: 1:56 - 2:05 and later 3:37 - 3:56

His playing is phenomenal as always but everybody knows that. ;)

  • Fuck.

  • That was so crazy.

  • holy shit wat kind of cymbals are those??? haha.. it luks lyk a fan! hehehe

  • i wanna see terry bozzio play these cymbals :D

  • He already plays!

  • good point referencing terry bozzio .... he was the one who started this whole thing of garbage sounding cymbals , stacking cymbals , dry synthetic sounding cymbals etc

  • very cool, those are the factory metal brand (sheet metal) "cymbals". I've been experimenting with the sheet metal myself, not to mention hand hammering some novice cymbals, you can really get some "far out" sounds if you attack the task mindfully.

  • Try and find some European mantra. It's hard but it's worth it! I saw Borlai 2 years ago in Hungary, i had to play with my band after watching them. Life changing moment. He's got to be the best drummer i've seen live. Hopefully we'll see a lot more of him in the UK.

  • So many "greatest drummers in the world." He's one of them. Absolutely phenomenal. What a talent. There is nothing he could not do behind a set of drums. An absolute and complete master of the kit. No one could defeat him in any genre.

  • WOOW

  • wow!!! very creative!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
