I'm really surprised at how good at how Nicole was a Maureen. I mean, I always knew she was an amazing singer, but I'm just impressed how much emotion she seems to put in it, even in a short scene like this.
My favorite part about rent is that it shows they ALL where friends. They have them all interact with one another and not with the people they're plots are directly tied in with.
I love Skylar and Aaron's part of this, they're really talented singers, and their fight was pretty emotional. one of my favorite bits was the way skylar's face falls after 'who's with his camera, alone?' like you just KNOW it stung. they put such great acting and emotion into their characters (:
@mkmwrite Seriously... this part is the best "halloween" I've ever seen. I also like the "yes you live a lie, tell you why" part... I think aaron does a fantastic job.
Skylar is so tender and beautiful in the first part of this.
And Aaron gives me goosebumps, the way his face changes from angry as he yells at Vanessa to softening as Wayne sings to him until he's sad and reverent. And then how he gets into his speech about Skylar. Gah.
And I love how Skylar emotes "Mimi's gotten thin..." and that part of the song.
Oh crap that's wayne brady playing collins! I was looking everywhere for these! Thanks alot for posting. Skylar is incredible also!

Tracie Thoms is such a beast. My fav out of the entire Hollywood Bowl cast.
I do think Vanessa did will, but it bothers me when I hear her sing in this bit.
