@kiwi20069 make sure that the usb cable is plugged in properly in the mini usb port of the external drive. also there are computers that does not supply power to the USB port. try it first on different USB ports and if it still doesn't work try it on a different computer

it is now working just took some time to boot up

@kiwi20069: mine came with 2 usb connections, do i plug them both in?

@sk8x4lf yes you will need 2.0 USB ports, they come standard on newer machines
