I have rode at so many tracks,Baymeadows reminded me of my home track in Ohio. Not all fancy,and over crowded like most.First time I saw the paddock.Fell in love with the place.The little gift shop right there too.

San Mateo,had places to eat,like a small town has.The small fairgrounds connected to Baymeadows parking lot,had a Gem show.Really nice.Wanted to move from L.A.My heart was broken.I learned Baymeadows was gone.Where is the love for a towns history,San Mateo you should be ashamed.

So sad. I loved Bay Meadows! Last time I attended was in fall of 2007, and I knew the end was near. My own horse ran there in 2004 (I bought him after he retired from the track, but I have videos of all his races with the help of the crew in the photo office at Bay Meadows). One of my best memories was seeing The Bart win the Tanforan Handicap there. Thanks for this great trip down memory lane...
