Nadine Dorries is a extreme neocon who hates gay rights, abortion, IVF and even woman rights. She is an unintelligent, but nevertheless feminine version of Ann Widdecombe. She is the brainless one if anything, Hazel Blears despite being a big Blairite is actually quite sharp and snappy. She knows what she is talking about and remember she is defending a Prime Minister she has wanted to topple. She might as well have a one night stand with Norman Tebbitt.
As Nadine said in an interview with a Sunday newspaper she was probably targeted because she supported tightening the abortion law>Well all I can say is ,Nadine you are worth more than that Harridan Harriet Harman!Anyway Harriet is probably just jealous that Nadine is more popular and in touch with public opinion than what she is!!!!!!
Nadine Dorries was on the Today programme this morning: sounding as hard-done-by as ever. Her argument being that an allowance is an allowance, not expenses, and it's up to the MP to spend it on whatever they want. She tried to turn the tables & hassle the BBC interviewer about her (the interviewer's) salary) & is worried that all this may drive some MPs to suicide. Just won't do, will it: some of them STILL don't get it.
MOSt of them still don't get it - and will never get it, which is due more to their psychological make-up than anything else. I mean a burglar won't stop until he's caught, will he (or she)?
nadine dorries, pack your bags, and if you know any MPs that want to kill themselves let them carry on the money grabbing uneducated scum. YOU ALL NEW YOURSELFS THAT IT WAS WRONG WHAT YOU WHERE DOING
AND YOUR ALL SO BLIND AND STUPID YOU THINK WE THE PUBLIC CAN NOT SEE IT,
this woman thinks it is acceptable to cheat on paying taxes and then has the temerity to come on tv and wave a cheque about as if she is doing something saintly.
Hazel, the people of this country have decided... They don't believe a word of what New Labour says they have got. Thank God for Bloggers like Guido Fawkes who show you up for the completely incompetent disreputable party you have become. This country desperately needs a set of measures checks and balances that can immediately remove a party in power when it fails to meet basic management criteria. You will pay dearly for putting Gordon Brown into power without a single vote from the electorate.
Socialism and totalitarianism are mutually connected. They both require a massive expansion of the state to enforce their ridiculous grand utopian schemes, and they bully anyone who disagrees with them. Bevan is a prime example of this. He slandered and insulted anybody who disagreed with the NHS, so he'd hate me. And if he treated me like he treated some of his political opponents, he'd be in an NHS bed for the rest of his life. He really was a vile piece of shit.
Bevan was a 'piece of shit' who happened to save millions of lives.
Socialism doesn't have to be driven by the state. It's a complex movement where some forms even advocate realising their ideals from the combination of trades through unions and guilds, forming a power base away from the state and a democratic, fairer life for those who lose out due to the inevitable corruption of capitalist society. In some cases force has been used to push through policy, but there is no mutual connection.
He didn't save millions of lives. Doctors did. They would have done so regardless of state sponsors or private sponsors. He bullied those who disagreed with him and slandered them.
Err... well if not Bevan, then the Labour government did. Doctors were on the front line delivering the medications that existed, but it is was only through the government that those services could actually reach the people most susceptible to such diseases as TB in the first place. The fact is that many people without adequate protection in their jobs not only couldn't afford to get treatment but couldn't risk not going to work even if ill. Having the NHS drastically improved life expectency.
It would have happened regardless of the NHS. As society becomes more technologically advanced, illnesses become less frequent. We should abolish the NHS now, and give the money saved back in tax cuts. We should also raise the personal allowance to £18,000, thus talking around 10,000,000 out of tax altogether. This will create a market for healthcare, and in the long run, it will provide better and cheaper healthcare, because competition brings out the best in people and business.
The problem with your argument is that it's based on the idea that competition brings out the best in people. In other words you are supporting the philosophical notion that human beings are naturally selfish. So all I have to do to disagree is not believe that humans are naturally selfish. Since Insurance companies will only judge more vulnerable people as higher risk, those most in need will get the worst deal in the free market. We may be fine, but I bet you others will get a pretty raw deal.
It has been proven beyond doubt that human beings are selfish, but because people are ashamed of selfishness they won't admit it. Because I am an arrogant, misanthropic bastard, I willingly admit to be a selfish fucker, we all are.
Also, I assume because you reference insurance companies that you believe America has a free market health system. It dosen't. It is run by governments and corporations. In a free market, the state leaves business alone. No deals. America = corporatism
Human selfishness in some form or other has been supposedly proven, although what form this takes (i.e. altruistic individualism or otherwise) is still up for debate. However, that still doesn't disprove socialism as an ideology as it accepts that people are selfish, but that they have the potential not to be governed by those desires in a suitable society.
As for the insurance industry, my comments were based on the business model, as it operates worldwide, not just in the instance of the USA.
Any example of government colluding with business is corporatism, not capitalism. Capitalism had gained a bad name because of idiots at big banks making deals with governments.
Socialism is an aberration of human nature. It is why it has never worked. Economically it is impossible, physically impossible, and socially it is abhorrent.
I am not quite sure how you can find a system that promotes complete equality and extensive democratisation in the workplace as abhorrent, but all the same, since we reside in different parts of the political spectrum i'm willing to accept that your views have a logical backing.
I have to agree, capitalism in its purest form would be an ideal if it worked, but I feel that it cannot provide all necessary services. Surely you must at least see the merit of state funded education?
If I'm to think Descartes you can't even prove you don't only exist in my mind. I guess you failed to come up with any answer that really tackled my point?
Liarpoliticians is the most misleading youtube name. Only Labour politicians it seems are liars/corrupt/stupid... etc. Idiot!
