well it isn't working for me.. when i select use as texture it won't let me place the image anywhere the not allowed symbol is showing.. (the circle with lie though it) it won't let me place it anywhere... i am doing everything in this video but it isn't allowing me to use any image on any surface

What is great when using a PDF is you don't get the texture wrapping which is useful for images that you only wish for one instance of. Just make sure the program you are making a PDF from properly sets a page box or your experience may vary. In my experience I set up layouts in InDesign and output PDFs for Sketchup.
