  • my dad and grandparents have been there they all agree that it was wonderful

  • Honestly considering taking a vacation to Napa Valley from Illinois, simply to dine at The French Laundry!

  • I used to work there (reservations). Great experience. At the very end of the video, you see an older gentleman in a white shirt and cap, that's Thomas' dad. That man can talk your ear off for hours, he's a great guy :)

  • kool = look

  • I love to be there so bad I'm a vegan stiil love to go there any options for a vegan ??? At TFL

  • Keller seems very modest, for running such an extraordinary place. I have to go there before I die.

  • @robertjserr1

Maybe you should stick to your job as Junior Assistant Supervisor at Taco Bell.

Thomas Keller knows what he's doing. The whole world agrees. He's won best restaurant in world before. Maybe you're the only one too retarded to realize what good food tastes like. Go make a pop tart.

  • @garrettface

    LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • The price is quite reasonable given the amount of labor that goes into these dishes. Funny how the same person who complains about spending $250 for a four hour presentation of some of the finest food in the world, has no problem spending $80 on crap made by Mexicans at a chain restaurant.

  • so true

  • While I agree with most of what you said and even gave your comment a thumbs up, I would like to point out that Mexicans actually cook in many of the great restaurants in the US, too. Not just the chain restaurants.

  • @MrPlanx I spend a lot less than that on excellent Mexican food made by real Mexicans. This isn't an everyday food for people who work, it's a niche restaurant for rich people.

  • @Antiks72 - My point is that it really isn't overpriced when you consider what you are getting. You can pay half as much for some mediocre chain steakhouse that you won't even remember a week later. You will probably remember the meal you had at the French Laundry for the rest of your life.

  • @MrPlanx Yeah, I would agree with that.

  • wow I didnt know Kellers first 3 restaurants failed. Lots of respect, well deserved Success

  • @nmac121 i think this is his first successful restaurant... not a great business man

  • Ive never tried small appetizer plates before.

  • This place is very expensive, however is probably one of the finest resturants in the world. The price is $240 per person. Granted thats a lot of money for food. However you got to love these people that base resturant food on how much food they get. To them, the food can be just ok in taste just as long as it is served on a platter size plate and is enough for 4 people to eat. Maybe thats most of America is overweight. Ive tasted some of his food. It is amazing.

  • I love this man!

  • There are trolls here who will trash a place that has a great reputation just to listen to their own windbag. And there are trolls here who will trash a place they have never visited, even though they say they had.

Take your pick, but raku is one of them.

  • well my obsession with trying to go to spain is fading,im glad cuss it made staging at the french laundry less intimidating!!!!! lol

  • Do you want to do a stage at TFL?

  • I don't think I could wait four hours to finish dinner. I also don't think I could come up with two hundred and seventy dollars.

  • Wow! You posted this same remark more than once. He must have really pissed you off. Was he the ass or did your demeanor invoke the response? I think you might be a little on the high maintainance side. Just a thought.

  • Funny, I went to Gary Danko's in S.F. got the private room for a party of 10, and it was one of my worse experience. The pre-fix menu was hit or miss, servers were great, but our private host was an ass.

  • I'm a local in S.F., and have been since the late fifties. THe best food I've tasted recently is the smoked trout salad at Bix, (and the prep is amazing) and also the Veal dish, in a french sauce with seafood. These are stellar dishes. And, of course, the upstairs booths are gorgeous. Classic. stuff. IF you want wonderful food very cheap, go to Panchitos on 16th St. just below Valencia, and order the chicken tamales and the chicken and cheese papusas....wow. Real food.

  • Did you look up every FL vid on YouTube just to post this same stuff?!

  • one of the best restaurants in the world. ate there in may and was absolutely incredible! thanx for adding clip.
