@immandrew Well, Australia is stupid and they rise up the price so much. like a $12 foundation in America, is like $36. Our 'drugstore' items are the price of American High end items.
@LiLtAnkKkK I have no idea about Shoppers Drug Mart specifically as we don't have that store here. I would assume you could ask the sales associate to help you choose the color though, or at least try the testers if they have those to see which matches you better.
@LiLtAnkKkK, I got mine at Macy's and yes the cosmetician did told me what color to use. As a matter of fact, she even applied it on my face to make sure. So maybe you will like to try Macys.
You get a whole ounce of full coverage concealer for twenty bucks? Heck yes! Try spraying a concealer brush with MAC Fix plus and blend the product onto the brush. Then apply it to your under eye area and blend with a warm fingertip. It will make it apply smoother and be more hydrating while helping the staying power.
@ClareGuinevere That sounds like a great tip! Thank you :) Unfortunately, I no longer have this product as I swapped it, but I'm sure others that do will find you trick to applying it helpful :)
I just bought this cover creme and i love it! I don't think it's meant for under eye circles? But i use it for severe redness and scars and it is awesome! I am a similar skin tone to you and i use the warm ivory color. it was $33 at ulta and the jar is quite large !
@nikkisparkles12 Thanks :) I've tried salmon colored concealer and it is a bit too dark for my fair complexion, I find that yellow works best for me for under eye circles. I am still searching for the perfect concealer though :)
very thorough and informational. i just wish you would've applied the makeup on camera so we could see how dark the circles are. to me, your skin looks great so i'm thinking the circles must be very light, in which case this product would almost definitely work well. thanks for sharing!!
@iluvpenguins007 Not one that doesn't settle and also covers. What I do is apply it lower, like in the inner corner of my eye but not too high up, so it;s not close enough to those little lines that form there, so it usually doesn't settle much in them.
sigh, i lost weight really fast and even my face lost a lor of fat and suddenly i got so many lines under my eyes and smile lines it really sucks. but thank you for the reply and i'll try your tip
@Oxana124 i used the crest whitening strips as well but noticed that my teeth became thinner and very sensitive towards cold food. did u have the same outcome ?? just wondering
I did get sensitivity while I was using them, but then after I was done it went away. I have not used them since though, so I wonder if it gets worse the more you use them, in terms of sensitivity and all that.
@Oxana124 with me its been a year since i used them and its like permently sensitive. studies show that most ppl get this because the first layer of the tooth is pealed
I run across your review about Durmablend Cover cream. I have to say your review is a bit incomplete in regard to this product. The cover cream you show is a foundation. It is best applied with a makeup sponge and dabbed on. Then after you have it how you like it, you should use the Setting Powder made by Durmablend to "set" the product. This makes this stuff very long wearing. They claim upwards of 12 hours and from my experience this has been the case. .
I was looking for an undereye concealer and read online that the cover cream works better than the concealer stick that Dermablend has, so I got this for concealer purposes only. In my review I discuss how it performed when used undereyes to conceal dark circles. I did not review how it works as a foundation because I do not use it as such, and I do not own the setting powder.
I understand that you were using it as an under eye concealer. I was just pointing out that it would likely work better if you could try to use a setting powder with it after you applied it. I used to try to use it without the powder myself and found it was not setting up well. Then I found out I was supposed to use the powder to set it. At first I thought how much difference could this make? I was shocked to find if you use the setting powder correctly the stuff sticks pretty well.
I did set it with powder, but I used my mineral foundation as powder instead of the one they sell. Thier setting powder is only 2 ingredients: Talc and Methylparaben, and I avoid using both of those on my face, so that's why I used my own powder.
The camera probably does not show it well, but I have yellow/golden undertones and also some beige. The Pale Ivory cover cream looks to me like it has some pink to it.
@missytiny I believe she is wearing blush, which is the pink you're seeing on her cheeks. White people CAN have yellow undertones, I know because my sister has medium skin with NO pink tones to her skin whatsoever. Even white skin can be warm/cool...we're not all the same colour.
i bought it for lik $56 -.- Stupid Australian pricing
