Gosh there is so many kickass jazz artist coming at the Montreal yearly Jazz Festival. John Zorn and John Scofield are coming here next summer, among many others.

That may be due to Frisell's "play-along" style. It's more busy than if he was just strumming chords.

It took me a while to fully appreciate it.

If this doesn't give you goose pimples (bumps) you might want to check you still have a pulse. There is nobody who can touch him. A truly unique voice on guitar. There's so much in there, country, jazz, etc. This is how all guitarists should aspire to sound like, and I'm glad they don't. Thanks for the upload.

It is Ron Miles on trumpet who has been on plenty of Frisell's records and vice-versa

a)ron carter, b)ron carter is a bass player and is not playing in the band, although they did release some material together in a trio with paul motian, c)the slide player is greg leisz and has a shit-ton of other projects.
