I am sorry but I am compelled to say this..! I am not saying the guys who did it were bad, they are very great but it is just to spread correct information, viruses were known from 1966 when a man called Jon van Neumann proposed a theory of self-producing automata..! Then the first official virus was the Creeper Virus, then came Wabbit, then came the Brain the world's first MS-DOS virus..! Anyway it was a great achievement nonetheless! HATS OFF TO ALVI Brothers
Only a software engineer knows better the uses of virus in computer.....I think these two brothers did a great job.....we should give them credit for it.....
@Invesigator because it wasnt a harmful one . it was a revolutionary software ...first of its kind .. others modified it to make it dangerous .. the realy one was harnless
@Invesigator It wasnt harmful it was just an experimental software not to harm compters else they wouldnt have left thier names n phone number along with virus. Be proud that you have genious people and a lot of talent waiting to be polished or recognised in Pakistan that is all.
Though I was familiar with the fact that world's 1st PC virus was the invention of 2 brothers from Lahhore, Pakistan, but now I've gt the proove. Good :) but in the mean time it changed the history n increased the insecuity of privacy.
@harj2009 Its not about being shameful or embarrassed. Their intentions were not malicious and this just shows their programming skills at the time when most people ddin't even know about computers. They were just experimenting with programs and codes when this happened and the virus was harmless (just read its history)
