  • this is so cool! ive just started tang soo do recently and realy want to continue it ive just brocken my first board today and am realy motivated to continue this style

  • Im a boxer training to fight mma. Yesterday i sparred a 3rd degree black belt in TSD in kickboxing. I destroyed him, if your interested in this martial art....dont be. its very ineffective

  • @iamchriswingate You fought one man...

  • @iamchriswingate you should re-evaluate your career choice if you think beating one person proves anything...

  • @iamchriswingate ur a typical boxer.. aroogant, with a big ego, the size of ur gloves, no respect for any martial arts whatsoever..

  • @iamchriswingate well, today i ate chicken, and it was dry. Bottom line, don´t ever get chicken nuggets, they are awful...

  • @iamchriswingate he would probably have done better if he was allowed to injure or kill you.

  • UHHHH AHHHH UHHH AHHH UHHHH AHHHH that's all you need to know to disarm a weapon. Lol what a joke this fuckin video is.

  • This seems very rigid.

  • o ****

  • Tang Soo !

  • 00:41 Oo wtf

  • Cool demo. Nice job!

  • @ArmorKingRulez id like to see u try and fight them then

  • AAIIYAYAAA EEERRRR AAAAHHHHH AAAYYAAAIIII EEEEEEHHHHHH AAAAAHHHHHH AAAYAAAAAAA xD

  • Might work against someone smaller or the same size as you,but not against someone who is bigger than you.

  • @ArmorKingRulez yes it would

  • @bourky93

Then go watch fights from the very first UFC and see how Royce Gracie fucked up a kickboxer, boxer etc. And don't for get to watch the Gracie family vs people who trained Karate,Hapkido and all that shit and defeated them all.

  • @ArmorKingRulez Wait, before I bother doing what you said (i won't anyway), are you trying to compare different fighting styles? I don't really understand what you are saying but it sounds like you are comparing fighters from different backgrounds together. If you are (If you aren't then ignore what I say) then you really shouldn't since comparing different fighting styles is redundant on so many levels. It's like comparing different gaming genres... you just don't do it =/

  • @ArmorKingRulez As a BJJ fighter who is under royce gracie, the gracies did not win EVERY fight. they have their share of losses before ufc 1.

  • @yenner

Yes of course i know that,no one can go undefeated.I think even Rickson Gracie lost a few times before but I just think that you can't go winning streets fights flying around like what they did in this vid.I was into TSD when I was in Primary School, made it to Green belt. But when i got in a fight, all the moves i tried pretty much failed.Got pounded in Side Control(i didn't know how to escape that time). Then some time later,my friend introduced me to BJJ.

  • @ArmorKingRulez

Which then i learned that striking might work against smaller or larger opponents, but not bigger opponents. The same bully tried to beat me up again(probably for money and he's been watching me since he first bullied me so maybe also to give me the message that I cannot beat him no matter what martial art stuff i learned). Which in the fight I put him to sleep with a rear naked choke. Since then I grew fond of BJJ and other forms of groundfighting.

  • he have good jumping kick.i like that!

  • Patrick Smith from UFC 2 had tang soo do in his arsenal.

  • This is only a demo and it already looks freaking brutal...STREET FIGHTS look like uncoordinated children wrestling in a sandbox compared to this.

  • @Amethystcrystal231 So do REAL fights☻. Even between trained people. There's an inherent amount of scrappyness in a real fight. It looks NOTHING like a demo. Because it's an un-choreographed meeting of bodies, each one trying to gain the upper hand. And high-finesse moves are very difficult to pull off when the SHTF, specially when your opponent is aware of them. Really demos like this show nothing. Scroll down 4 my other thoughts on the subject.

  • @dredericktotem1245 Yes, all a rehearsed pattern of moves. Bruce Lee has it all right when it comes to street fighting and the use of martial arts. be like water.

  • @copperkipper1 Bruce Lee is just an actor

  • @Danieldx22 No Bruce Lee was not 'just an actor', He was an actor, a film writer, a philosopher and phenomenal martial artist.

  • @copperkipper1 He knows kung fu, but doesn´t fight sanda.

All the kung fu actors are fighters too, but not as a sport guy like the gracie family.

  • @Danieldx22 ...No, BL was a great martial artist and probably the original MMA practioner. BL stataed that you should take the best of a system, the stuff that works, and throw the rest away...I'm paraphrasing of course. He was also golden gloves in the early 60's, so he was a great boxer. Pleaase give a man where credit is due. We should never traple on a dead man's greve

  • @Danieldx22 also ereknown martial srtist who created jeet kune do the way of the intercepting fist

  • @Danieldx22 and you are just a dumb F***! Try to educate yourself a little more before you post another stupid comment.. little keyboard warrior!!

  • @TreeTrunk82 hypocrite

  • That would never work in a street fight.

  • @sayno2wmma You never fought the left one. This is only a demo. When there is a normal fight, he'll win for sure. The Holland team became world champion in the US, and this guy is better then everyone in the Holland team.

  • @sayno2wmma ill bet you a million bucks it would could can win a street fight.

  • @sayno2wmma true, only boxing stiles like sanda, muay thai, sambo... and grappling stiles like bjj and judo could work... but in a street fight is pretty lame because in that case you can use a shotgun witch is way more effective. I think martial arts are more like a sport then self defense

  • @Danieldx22 The only one I think would work is Krav Maga because it's not a sport you go right for the kill .

  • @sayno2wmma yeah, I forgot Krav Maga you are right, It is funny how 90 percent of the moves ends up with punching the enemy in the balls xD.

  • @Danieldx22 ..true that allot of things practiced in a dojo are worthless ina real fight, they are essinital to the overal traing and conditioning. Yes, a gus will win everytime, but martial arts when used correctly are way more than a sport. Boxing, muay thai and the others you mentioned are all "martial arts".

  • @akrocuba People seem to ignore the fact that everybody has strengths and weaknesses. Not every 10th degree black belt in anything is gonna fight the same, even in the same dojo under the same master. You can't do any flashy shit unless is the right time, which isn't gonna be common. What you see in stand up MMA is what a lot of styles, like tang soo do, tae kwon do, karate, and kung fu, are also taught similarly. It's not the style, it's the individual.

  • this is a good stuff!

  • @xXEPICSCREAMXx hope it was good trust me once your in there for five minutes your hooked

    ps im a red belt

  • There is no such thing as a bad art just a bad practitioner! simples

  • Tang Soo Do. Totally helpful if you ever get into a fight at an Improv gig.

  • The left man is the Sabunim of my sabunim :D BTW i'm doing TSD too

  • @SkaterCriminal yeah i went to the ntsd campionship 2009 i didnt get back till 1o'clockpm

  • Comment removed

  • doing my first tang soo do lesson ever on teusday cant wait, i do boxing and judo and i feel tang soo do will own boxing easy :)

  • Two other points:

➊ I'm aware that MMA doesn't represent a true street-fight. Nevertheless the lessons gleaned from it can be instructive.

➋ Full-contact sparring is THE ONLY way to prepare yourself for a PROPER non-trivial (i.e. NOT play fighting) attack. Unfortunately this can also result in numerous long-term injuries, specially when the partner is inconsiderate or a novice. A word of caution, then.

  • There is another argument that certain types predominate in MMA because they do not require as fine neural-motor skills as others - thus you must be a ☝1st・expert☝ at some types of MA in order for them to become useful. I don't buy much into that argument coz in a real fight situation it's much easier to execute mechanically simple orders rather than try and pull off something intricate which probably needs some "help" from the opponent.

  • I disagree with the notion that the respective sport taken is unimportant. MMA clearly shows us that certain "types" of MA are more effective than others (e.g. BJJ/boxing/catch wrestling/muay thai etc.). There are ✚legitimate✚ reasons for this, and using a combination of types for the most effective overall defence. Even if you argue it is the skill of the practitioner and that many MMA types are semi-skilled, the overall pattern of results is clear.

  • The top three qualities needed for self-defence are:

    ➊ Athleticism

    ➋ Aggression

➌ Awareness (both reactionary, but also anticipation)

Generally helps if your "opponent" is not expecting what you are/will do, and you conceal as much as possible.

  • It's fake

  • i do tang soo do karate and this takes a lot of skill to do so anyone who says its fake doesnt understand the point it is fake of course but it shows what to do when attacked weather it is with a baronette or not

  • Two problems with karate; 1) No randori 2) Too many stops between point A and point B. But in effective....no karate works. Bringing the focus back to the video, very good demostration.

  • try doing this in a street fight, good luck with it as well, any high kick will be grabbed and then the fight is over

  • @Brady2k10 what do you mean? I purposely leave my foot out there to get a armbar. They usually fall for it, not knowing i do gjj.

  • tang soo do is the fake of "KARATE"

  • How can anyone have disliked this? It's comedy gold! Especially 2:27 when he whacks him with the stick... gold!

  • MUY BUEN VIDEO AL 100

  • the ayah! reminds me of tommy from pr

  • so this was chuck norris's original art? not too bad :)

  • Comment removed

  • I go to tang soo do martial arts to

  • I prefer to go to work in the morning without bruses and broken bones... though I still do! The more you practice self defense the more it becomes a reaction. You might not have a bayonet come at you, but these reactions will work for a knife, staff, maybe even a sword. I don't know them, but I can tell you they are good. I would bet on them in not only saving them selves in a fight, but also anyone else in danger from the punks who threatens them. They are athletic and have talent.

  • That said, Tae Kwan Do was made the national SPORT of korea in the 50's i think. Tang Soo Do, legally fought to keep out of being clasified as TKD. There is some good traditional TKD, but most of it is adapted for points/olympics - which sticks.

That all said, every demonstration is "fake" so is every movie. Even Enzo Gracie said once you apply rules the competition is not reality. So modern Ultimate fighting is the same. So they hit and get bloody, thats full contact... so what.

  • @FirelightMediaGroup haha now the national sport is starcraft 2... :P

  • Just a little history here, Japan Occupied Korea during WW2. Japan brought their culture to Korea, and some would say forced it onto them... and others they occupied.

Much of modern Karate links through styles like Shotokan which all have roots in Okinawa. There is many ancient stories of Chinese dignitaries traveling to Okinawa and bringing chinese culture and martial arts with them. Kong San Kun Hyung is a strong example of this. they probably shared more than stole from each other.

  • Does anyone know where I can find different styles against each other in championship form? so sick of choreographed fighting....

  • @rammsteingod666

Anyway, You want to learn fake Korean martial arts, It's OK.

★But Please don't forget that such a act means you are a stupid person deceived by a fake imitation.

And that means also that your act disgraces Japan and other Asian nations like China.

★As the result, Japanese would get angry and have a very bad feeling for you.

    That's all.

You should understand those circumstance. If you understood, It's Ok.

Please go ahead. I won't stop.

  • @SamuraiTogo, @rammsteingod666 This argument is just silly. One of you thinks people don't care about where their martial arts come from, whilst saying that Tae-Kwon-Do is the biggest martial art in the world because its the most effective. The other one of you thinks that because a country used a martial art developed by another country as a base, that automatically means the new martial art is stupid or "copied", while what it really means is that something called possible improvements happens

  • @rammsteingod666

TV is not a culture. So those cannot be compared. Do you understand?

And I am saying not "like or dislike" but "real thing or fake imitation "

Moreover Koreans have stolen Foreign culture and claimed its origin belongs to Korea.

So, Many Asians like Japanese, Chinese, Mongolian, Thai,,,and the like, are fiercely angry.

    This is the problem.

  • @rammsteingod666

Moreover, I 'll ask you one other question.

If you want to learn about European castle , Which do you choose the real castle in Europe, or the fake imitation castle of the Disney Land in France?

    And

★Japanese and Chinese martial arts are equivalent to the real castle in Europe.

★Korean martial arts like Taekwondo are equivalent to the fake imitation castle of the Disney Land.

    That's the difference.

Recently, Pro-Japan nation like France have noticed this. But Dutch seems not.

  • @rammsteingod666

    OK

Then, I 'll ask you one question.

If you want to learn something, Which do you chose the real traditional one, or the fake imitation one without any history?

★For instance, If you want to learn Ninjutsu(Ninja's martial art), Which do you chose the real Japanese one, or the copied something in other countries like Europe?

★European might not get a feeling of strangeness for Taekwondo,

But many Asians are feeling Taekwondo is a transparent imitation, not a real thing.

  • @rammsteingod666

    >>explain why taekwondo is the biggest martial art in the world

Because, Taekwondo(Copycat Karate) was adopted the Olympian game by the engineering of the Korean

agents using money as a bribe.

So, taekwondo(Copycat Karate) was recognized the major martial art.

But the fact that Taekwondo is a Copycat Karate which was stolen by a Korean after WW2, is not changed.

Koreans are going to do the same thing about Kendo.

So many Japanese are fiercely angry. Don't forget that

  • @rammsteingod666

    >>The Koreans ripped off the Japs, and the Japs ripped off the Chinese,

    No

    The truth is that

Koreans had dead- copied Japanese and Koreans have told a lie that its origin belongs to Korea,

, and Japanese were inspired by Chinese but they had not copied and they admit its origin belongs to China,

That is to say, Koreans have stolen Japanese and Chinese culture,

but Japanese never have stolen Chinese culture.

Lastly, you Korean shouldn't use the discrimination word like Jap.

  • @rammsteingod666

    I don't think so.

If that martial art is a real traditional one like Japanese or Chinese,

Surely, No one might care about which country.

    But

If that martial art is a fake copy-cat one like Korean,

Everyone would care about which country.

  • @rammsteingod666 According to my trainer, the forms are different, and that is all.

  • its a bad idea to move in towards someone with a long range weapon, wing chun is much more effective against street fighting scenerios

  • @AsG1989 Getting close-range against someone who has long-range weapons nullifies whatever attack forms they have, considering their weapons in fact ARE made for long-range....

  • Dear Dutch people.

★All Korean martial arts were copied from Japan, after WW2.

Those have no history, just only the imitations of Japanese martial arts.

But the Korean insists those have a long history and Japan copied them from Korea.

    ★Of course, it's a ridiculous lie.

★Japanese real martial arts, or Korean fake dead-copied imitation martial arts.

    Which do you choose?

If you practiced Korean martial arts,

Asian people would treat you as a weird stupid person.

    ★So, Please don't be deceived.

  • @SamuraiTogo

And kickboxing is just fake muay thai , right ?

And do you know anything about Tang Soo Do or anythingabout the origins of martial arts at all?

Of course those people used techniques they think are effective, in times of war and opression (and in love) anything is alowed.

  • I believe the lie of the Korean and do learn this?

    I feel sorry.

  • South Korea begins to copy the Japanese martial arts from the late 20th century. Individual martial arts was not developed in the Joseon Dynasty(Korea). Taekwondo, Haidong Gumdo, Kumdo, Hapkido, Yudo is nothing to the history of Korea.

Taekwondo copied the Shotokan Karate. Haidong Gumdo and Kumdo copied Kenjutsu and Kendo. Hapkido copied the Daitoryu Jujutsu and Aikido. Yudo copied Judo. Hwa Rang Do is not historical martial arts. Hwa Rang is dancer in the Silla and Kogryo Dynasty.

  • cool guys, cool movie, but funny korean style.plunder Tang Soo Do is originated from gojyuryu karate(剛柔流空手) japan.why you choose korean counterfeit art? pls teach me...shameless fraud korean.

JAPAN EXPO Paris will open within 48 hours!!!!!stop exhibiting fake kendo, korean Haidong Gumdo!!!!

    watch?v=hix9SGnUz58 english

    watch?v=tVJOcwPprVo french

  • TSD is not a mix of Tae Kwon Do! TSD is a very ancient martial art with roots in Shaolin! When Korea wanted to establish a national sport, being a martial art! Several masters gathered together from different systems and came to an agreement of what would and would not be taught in a new art with no outside influence(Korean only) this formed TKD and thus the Kooki Won was formed also as the sanctioning body for TKD and the world. I could go on but please to all the so called martial artist, do

  • Allthough this looks fake if its being used for real it HURTS. Sparring=ow.

  • Fu*k this I'm going for Krav Maga

  • Its a demonstration. Its as real as police officers practicing takedowns on other police office officers.

  • I <3 Tang Soo Do!

  • 0:38 is so boss

  • Comment removed

  • @InnerSpider97 I hope you're kidding...

  • I love tang soo. Im a second dan and go to hongs karate in lower new york.

  • Dont under estimate a ridge hand to the temple... you will go to sleep...

  • Nice vid.

  • Derivation among other arts hapkido marciais. Is a mix of martial arts, which generates the synchronization and perfection. Util mortal kombat game since the first until the last has the tang soo do.Th argument of "lay" is dispensable. By the Supra Master Jesus said: "Father forgive them because ~ do not know what" talk. "...

  • Awesome: I come to YouTube looking for some TSD videos, and the very first hit is one from two teachers of my dojo. :P

  • Absolutely ridiculous.

  • the fight between wasaaa and wusuuuoo !!!

  • 1:07 a big laugh from the auddience. Just what you want to provoque on the audience when you are in front of respected martial arts masters.

  • @mckenziemichael

We use ridge hand in tang soo do as well. But there is more use of hands in tang soo do than tkd.

  • that sucks its not like the predator is gonna stand still while you attack him...

  • Whoever made these bayonet techniques, must had experience the Korean War.

  • did he really kick him like that? im a chodan - since last night but in the 4 years i have trained we have done no contact. does that change as you get higher in rank?

  • As a practitioner of Tang Soo Do, I congratulate you. Tang Soo!

  • I have been at TKD for about 30 years. I did not see a lot of difference between this and TKD. Somebody please enlighten me. I have never seen a lot of difference between the two. I imagine there is probably not.

  • @MackenzieMichael There's not really a lot of dfference between TKD and Tang soo do (TSD), though TSD has one or two hand techniques not generally seen in TSD (for example, ridge hand). They are very similar, to the point that when asked what TSD is, I ansver that TKD and TSD are almost the same marial art. Note that there are some small changed in forms as well.

  • @trunksdbz04 I am very familiar with ridge hand. I use it a lot. You must have meant that TKD has hand techniques not seen in TSD? Thanks for the input. I have been wondering for awhile.

  • These look very similar to the techniques i do at my karate

  • @coolcarman555 TKD and TSD are descendents of Karate.

  • @wattersm tkd is not a descendent of karate its a descendent of two traditonal korean martial arts which are subak and taekyon

  • @coolcarman555 That´s because karate is in your heart Daniel San

  • Nice!!!! Cool demonstration

    Tang Soo!

  • guy: uhhhhh ahh

    other guy: whaaa uhhhh?

  • Ahhhh.

  • lame

  • My bayonet problems are solved!!!

  • what the fuck is that shit with the bayonet

  • @Vio9mm wat if your in the army

  • @Mynameisellie100 Its a demonstration. Im pretty sure they slowed down their movements so that the croud could keep up and get the idea of what happening. If one of these guys saw somebody with a real bayonet trying to really kill them, they would strike much much harder and faster. If this was done in a real street fight, I would be to stunned by the blow to grab anything. Im pretty sure you also know what your talking about, so what style of martial arts do you take.

  • Comment removed

  • beastly kias !!!

  • It's a "Demonstration" . Can't you read. It's not supposed to be real life.

  • I'm going to attack you when I yell "Aaaaaahhhh!!!!." Just to let you know.

  • It all looks great on film but this is not real life. No one just stands there and let's you beat the shit out of them. Most martial arts are a total joke.

  • @DeathToLiberalism

dude it's demonstration (demonstration of power speed control etc.) it's not suposed to be real lol

  • @kraskinnn i'm sure that was more for military recruiters. They look for instructors all the time!

  • @kraskinnn funny so do i!

  • @kraskinnn fake ass shit

  • @kraskinnn Watch Taegukgi and you'll understand.

  • Masters... Bitches

  • All the haters and people who say it's fake you don't know these people....master salm who has trained for years under grandmaster salm his father head of the emtf....anyone thinking the techniques are fake or wouldn't work take a flight to holland to meet the man he teaches full time...of course it's choreographed but seriously people don't be dissing or hating things you don't understand just appreciate it for what it is

    TANG SOO!!

  • @shinson0 Tang Soo ...

  • just make church, if you want to make money. this is easy way than martial art. or make some bible. well.. to read book is better than to learn martial art. really. once read or study something for 1 year. you will know what I say. and learn martial art or whatever. there is nothing.

human has superb brain than other all animal. you have to use brain than body. if you use body, there is nothing. and even if you mastered some martial art, you are human. not even animal level. all wasted time.

  • and this is why Korea was invaded by like every other country

  • @1x93cm no Tang Soo Do is a combonation of Korean Arts (that did not really work that well hence your point is partly valid) and Chinese and Japanese Arts. After all Tang soo do is "T'ang Hand way" in reference to the T'ang dynesty of China.

    TANG SOO!

  • :3 I recognize some of these techniques from when I had taken Tang Soo Do classes :)

  • A demonstration of how to defend yourself when you know how you're going to be attacked, very realistic I must say.

  • heh heh they fall down easily

  • @ Betteranimationguy pone resistencia y te aseguro ke te quiebran en un segundoo...

  • @mauro18oi ummm wth are you saying i dont know any other langauge but english

  • its always great to see 2 masters goin at it lol

  • whoa o_O

amazing. i wouldn't want to make them mad xD

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAGH

  • Hi there

Some of your entries are an embarressment and if you are really committed to any of the TSD or TWD or any other style you just wouldn't write this kind of shit and you praise yourself with some kind of a degree you have ... this slagging off is degrading, selfish and has nothing to do with earning respect you lot do not deserve anyway. You lot argue about which martial arts came 1st and which one this best and why using a bayonet ... come to Millwall, our top boys show you respect ...

  • OMG now THAT is a nice demo.

  • @Necrobotics pretty much 18 months but i train with sabum nim carson.

  • aha I'm a second degree and I got it when I was 11(:

  • Ap en Rob,blijtft leuk om naar te kijken

  • where do they still use bayonets nowadays?

  • how long does it take to get a black belt in tang soo do?

  • @Necrobotics 4 or 5 years

  • @Necrobotics it takes about 4-5 years to get a first degree

  • @Necrobotics it took my dad 18 months.

though he did train with grand master lee

  • Chuck norris can suck mi penis >.>

  • dats some funny stuff love it

  • Chuck Norris is a black belt in Tang Soo Do!

But of course he invented his own type of karate. It's called Chuck-Will-Kill. ;)

  • @Omilron lol id study that :P
