  • Those pro-frats belong to Chi Rho Omicron and they are currently being investigated at San Diego State University Theta Chapter for hazing, i hear they kidnap students on school property and force them into gangster hazing rituals, like beating them up!

  • any way to view this whole episode/casting?

  • The following is based on Filipino-Canadian experience:

I know there have been past cases of people dying/seriously injured during hazing rituals. But other than that, it all depends on what you want in post secondary school. Not everyone adheres to the "caste system of cool & uncool" unlike in high/elementary school. If anything, most students are more concerned with their good grades and obtaining their degrees.

3:57 YES! YES! YES! The pro-frat guy trying to act hard can kiss a donkey's ass.

  • a frat sounds like a gang

  • i thought the title was referring to yogurt lol

  • who's that one dude in the background? he's not Filipino!

  • that frat guy who snapped is hella funny lmao

  • Fraternities and sororities exist for people who feel that they need to "conform" with something to be somebody. In colleges alot of the grouping and stereotypes are lost from your high school and middle school years and these "greek clubs" exist to ensure that the people who were part of that don't feel lost when it comes time for them to be an individual. They exist to shape the way you think to what is wanted of you, much like "the cool crowd" from earlier years.

  • Going Greek is not for every1. If u can't work w/ people, ur too independent, impatient, & too full of urself then u'll never understand or appreciate the bond that is created between groups of ppl. Maybe u dnt need it to succeed in life, but I believe it helps harden your discipline & inscreases ur networking & social skills which u'll need if u work in a bus environment. The antigreeks here are full of hate & all they bring up r stereotypes & generalizations. U don't like? Then STFU & get out!

  • The pro-frat guy (Oscar at 0:58) looks pretty creepy.....I'd stay away! LOLZ!

  • Frat is good if u plan to go to a univ. and finish a bachelors in 10 yrs.

  • LOLZ!

  • i know the video is about fraternities in the states, but i wanted to say that i really get annoyed when people in the philippines want to join fraternities.. frats in the philippines arent really frats.. i know that it was different before but nowadays theyre more like gangs rather than 'real' fraternities.. i mean, would they really kill each other and ask people to join just for more protection? i thought these organizations were supposed to be about brotherhood.. honestly i think its stupid

  • XPO!!! YOU KNOW!!!

  • i was asked to pledge many times, and i said "fuck you you fucking faggot ass frat"

AHAHAHA fuck you! lol frats are gay..they expect you to do everything they do. if they go to a foot ball game you have to go with them, if they want you to drink a bottle of vodka you have to do it..

  • my fraternity has a active body of 17 actives every semester. and we kick it like 3 times a week. i feel a real brotherhood because we all went to training on how to be there for each other. so there is just an understanding with each other to always help each other

  • Fuck fraternities. You can survive college without a fraternity. It's pretty stupid. I'd rather hang out with my REAL friends than 'friends' I barely know.

  • the guy (anti fraternity) with the glasses is a buttface. the other dude looks gay. together i think theyre rejects...

  • its personal choice. sure the Fraternity system is not perfect. but who is?

here in europe i look forward to meeting not only Filipinos but Brods as well. and we are linking, organising and helping after each other here.

  • Fuck filipino frats. My own ethnicity said I came from the streets. Because my parents don't make as much and I'm not prone to updated style. But overall I would rather have close friends I know than a huge group of friends I don't know.

  • haze was a shitty ps3 game and i don't know why any of you are discussing it.

  • i'm filipino but that guy whos shouting.... he can eat a dick. everyone of his frat bros dicks

  • theres some aspects of the greek community that arent addressed here. for example, the common stereotype for most people is that greeks haze. im actually a member of the largest greek fraternity in the nation (Alpha Phi Omega) and we dont haze

  • GDI is what we call non-Greek people. gdi=god damn independents. If you're a GDI, it'll be very difficult for you to comprehend & accept our reasons for joining Greek organizations. Fraternities & sororities are somewhat similar to college clubs & non-Greek organizations. The differences are the secrecy, tradition, vast network, fraternal bonds, scholarships, participation in many philanthropies, bigger and better social events & sports competition against other frats/sororities.

  • hehehehe funny guy, he got nailed just like that....

  • I don't know what country this is in since everyone seemed of foreign ethnicity, but I want everyone to know you don't have to be "embarrassed" or "hazed" to be in a sorority. If there's something going on like that and you don't want to be in that group, then leave. Everyone has a right to do or not do something. No one should HAVE to be hazed or embarrassed to join a group. I'm in a sorority and glad to say I've never been embarrassed or hazed. Know what you are joining before you pledge.-MTU

  • They're all Filipinos.

  • yeah. but it's still bad to haze wherever you are and I know i wouldn't join somewhere if they did.

  • Agreed. Actually, fraternities in the Philippines are more like gangs than anything else, a lot of them get involved in gang murders & all. W/c has lead me to HATE all forms of fraternity/sorority, not cool at all in my book.

  • What's W/c? Anyways, I'm in Michigan and I'm in an International Women's Fraternity and I love it. No Hazing and we do a lot of volunteer work.

  • Heh heh! W/c is short for which, we often short-cut our words especially during a dictation in school. One thing about the US is it has many options, it's admirable that your sorority has avoided that hazing rode. I honestly don't know of any real frats/sororities here that don't include hazing or acting like hooligans in a gang.:(

  • the pro-fraternity guy on the right waxed his eyebrows!!!

    DISTRACTING!!!

    para siguro magmukhang mataray! hahaha!

  • haha that long haired guy is hilarious.

  • I am somebody and I do not have to be in a club to be somebody!!! PEACE!!!

  • the long-haired frat guy is so stupid. kulang sa gray matter. he needs to read more physical abuse and hazing.

hay naku. tradition for the sake of tradition...

    poor things...

  • I remember Ryan Bayani in college. He was part of my Filipino club. He says he became successful without a fraternity. He was the type of person that didn't need any organization or frat to be something. Cool guy greek or not greek!

  • Hazing..If you aint down to challenge yourself with a little mental toughness, then just don't join up and study on the weekdays, weekends and be a social hermit. All Asian/Filipino frats are straight up ridiculous. How can you be passionate about a subject like this? You either get in or get out, its as simple as that. If the decision of joining a frat/sorority causes you stress then I wouldn't want to serve with you in war!!

  • haha...frat men got owned..XD

  • XPO! You KNOW!!

  • gloves na lang ang kulang para mag suntukan tong dalawang to!!! hahaha!!!

  • XPO!!!!

  • I'm in UTSA FSA (Filipino Student Association). I love it. Aren't frats used to get good jobs though?

  • I am assuming UTSA is UTex San Antonio? The network you gain through a lifelong fraternal organization can be unparalleled. Additionally, many fraternities are incorporated on state and federal levels (i.e. non-profits). Thus, by membership and occupation in an executive position for a fraternity/sorority, you have been in charge of an incorporated organization while still in school. Interested in Chi Rho Omicron, Inc.? Message me.

  • I don't know who the guy with the long hair was, but I highly doubt that he represents Chi Rho Omicron, Fraternity, Incorporated. Our organization promotes all organizations, fraternity, sorority, and clubs alike. In my service at collegiate level at UC Davis we have had multiple brothers hold positions and provide services in the general Filipino Club (MK), FAHC, PACE, Filipino Outreach, and other on campus and off-campus clubs while maintaining active membership in the fraternity.

  • yeah!!our brothers lupit...frat free!!hehe
