the PS1 version of Doom was great. I still have the disc. I prefer the new lighting effects, and the new sounds and music. It's more atmospheric and intense than the PC version. Don't get me wrong, the original version is classic.

I loved the PC version, but this is the BEST console port.

I haven't played the 360 one, is it a port of the origional PC version? i've always prefered the PS1 version for it's soundtrack and the lighting effects. =)

Mate dont even bother playing the xbox version it will ruin your doom experience lol...... theres only 1 good thing about it though but you have to have xbox live and thats the multiplayer Campaign or Online Team Deathmatches and all that stuff :)

Well i had to sell my 360 a few months ago mate, due to money probs but i'll be picking another up in a few months or i may even pick up a PS3?

I'm pretty happy with the PS1 version to be honest, although the online multiplayer campaign sounds pretty tempting, but probably not too much of a challenge? =)

The shotgun if PSX Doom actually fires faster then the one in the PC version. Probably because you can't save your game in the PSX version like you can in the PC version.

hey thats a cool looking version of doom i generally only like to have one version of a game unless its radically better or that but the sound quality is amazing for this version

The PlayStation version to me is pretty damn scary. It's the choice of all the scary sounds used for this version. Chains clinking, wind howling, and other ominous sounds.
