Me and my buddies carried him to the bar at Bogarts in Long Beach one night and threw him over it. He said "rough crowd tonight!" RIP Country Dick, always a great live show.
I see them in the commodore in Vancouver BC It was like the blues brother rahide scene with out the chicken wire ..full bottles of beer flying from the back and right past them and they played on it was Awesome and a one of a kind experiance ..rock on country Dick brother we love ya...
Cotati Ca at the The Inn Of the Beginning 1985! Carried Country dick to the bar with coop, Mginty and others! Country Dick and the boys came to my house to party after the show. He can drink and steal your woman for sure.
USed to watch them at some really Tiny Bar on El Cajon Bldv. and like most fans from San Diego saw all the memers of the Beat Farmes come from other bands
I actually got to hang out w/ the boys at the Ranch Bowl in Omaha, Neb before the show. Super cool, absolutely no rock pretense. RIP Country Dick (and BB). People think of CDM as a profane cartoon character - he was really a really nice guy who loved to entertain people. Jerry had the chops to play in any band and Joey turned into a great songwriter. What a great band.! Huzzah to RJ and JH!
His real name was Dan, so it don't apply, and yeah, he was a really smart and great guy. Raised more hell than any ten guys I ever met too. I really like when he ran for mayor of San Diego on the platform that he, if elected, would put the city councel on trial for "crimes against the community" and got something like 100,000 votes. He was a happy boy that day.
Yup, Dan. First time I saw him was with the Penetrators at (I think) the old Adams Avenue theater with Johnny Kat. Saw him again with the Snuggle Bunnies, and of course countless times with the Beat Farmers. I asked once if my GF could give him a b-day kiss, and he unzipped. RIP Dan McLain.
Yeah, that's him. We saw the Pens and Crawdaddies countless times, he drummed for both. The Pens opened for the Ramones once. My friend's girl then/wife now Jolie managed the Crawdads for a while and we'd hit almost every show, great band. We miss him a lot.
Thanks so much for uploading this. damn, I wish I could turn back the clock and carry Dick to the bar one more time at the Belly Up or the Coach House, and be so young and perfectly drunk and happy that an entire bar full of strangers seemed like my best friends in the world. This is the first time in any video that I've seen the segue into Anarchy in the U.K.

Holy jeez, I'm on the balcony watching this one. (And well out of camera range.)
I THINK that there's a few members of the Missiles on stage, or Rolle's a fan - that's definitely an Atomic Fireball t-shirt.

@bibulb I was there and I would have sworn you were down front kissing the hem of CD's duster.

The following is a conversation I had with Dick after a show at the Lone Star in KC...
Rolle walks up to Dick...
Rolle says " i hit a fan! He's out cold in the parking lot."
Dick: "Is he dead?"
Rolle: " No."
Dick : " Then what are you worried about?"
Then a woman walks up to Dick...
Woman says : " I want to f**k you Dick."
Dick says to me and my friend : "Guys its been nice talking to ya."

I'll never forget the night at the Belly Up Tavern when he autographed the ass of my wife's jeans "Dick Was Here".

Perfect. Makes all the 'dick' jokes he heard as a kid worth it. ...

Amen. I'd vote for him today, Chicago-style. Dead or alive!
