Only 2011 models included the 250R and 250 versions. The 250R was about 1.5K more than the 250. Now the 2012 models dropped the 250 and they only sell 250Rs now (Yes, 250R is the correct term but people will still understand what you mean if you only say 250)

@yaitsmeBC Many people believe that R stands for "Race" when applied to models. It has no proven truth but many models that include an XXX and an XXXR version make the XXXR version better than the XXX.
