@Hoenirv I'm not sure if they have a different team working on this, but I'd think Knightmares in Europe are completely different from Japan. If you've seen the concept art for the white mech in the preview, it is far different from the mechs in Lelouch of the Rebellion.

There's already information on this OVA, there's so many misconceptions about CG Gaiden.

1) It takes place in 2017 a.t.b., same year as R1 takes place in.

2) Lelouch is not going to be a major character, there is a possibility he might not even be seen or mentioned.

3) This series focuses on the European front, focusing on the struggle between the E.U. and Britannia.

4) This is not R3, it expands the Code Geass universe with new Knightmares and info.

5) Akito is more a "Kallen" type character

As I recall, Knightmares move more like a vehicle. They don't bend their knees and run. I was referring specifically to that, not the others. I suppose its some kind of a special one, though.

Yeah it's a special "super prototype", the E.U. Lancelot which I believe will be piloted by Akito. Although most KMFs "skate" with their land-spinners, they possess decent leg movement, at least seventh generation models do (Spinzaku).

Lelouch is not dead during the events of this OVA as this OVA takes place (in 2017 a.t.b/1963 A.D.) during or after the Black Rebellion but before the second season of CG. Lelouch will probably not appear or even if does appear as Zero he will make little impact on this series as this OVA series will focus on the European front (when Britannia first invades the EU).

I hate to say this, but it doesn't look as epic as the original Code Geass.

Plus I doubt Lelouch will make an appearence in the anime because its set around the same time when he first formed the Black Knights. Who knows I could be wrong, maybe its an alternate world. I really don't know, the information is too vague to validate whether characters from Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion will appear or not. Either way I'm watching the OVA.

Things from trailer: the girl or boy in hoodie 0:36-0:37 is definately a codebearer and the girl Layla is obviously the one with geass, in 1:08 she's covering her left eye like Lelouch, but who are the guys in 0:33 and 0:57 ? The church in 1:20 may be the same church where C.C lived with the nun. Akito himself looks like mix between Suzaku and Lelouch. Remains to be seen if he's a brute like Suzaku or genius-mastermind-manipulator like Lelouch or maybe a bit of both...
