it really comes down to the little details when you start paying 2000+ for a guitar. USA Jacksons are still using cheap assed die-cast tuners whereas a caparison for instance uses brand-name Gotoh HAP tuning heads. The bridge on a caparison is a german-made schaller floyd rose, not a cheap korean knockoff. Buyers beware...just because your bridge SAYS floyd rose doesnt mean its the original.

fender has owned jackson for 8 years, jacksons are selling better now than they have been in the past 10 years of pre-fender ownership. Fender droped all jackson artists after they bought them out, but now they are geting a lot of artists back. But I really dont care who plays jackson or what dumbass kids arnt playing them. jackson is making just as good if not better guitars than they were making 10 years ago, thats all that matters.

I love his guitar. His and the MJR models are sweet. I have a white Washburn MG90similar to this guitar that I just absolutely love, so although I would love one of these, I will gladly and faithfully stick with my Washburns. I love his playing and AWESOME tone!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Caparison's aren't that expensive, you just gotta look around for 2nd hand ones. I got a basically brand new Caparison TAT for 2300AUD shipped. That's like 1300euros/1790USD. Much cheaper than a custom shop guitar from ESP etc (which it basically is a custom shop guitar)

Look into Vigier guitars. Even better than Caparison. Vigier has the lowest action on the market bar none. I love caparison too don't get me wrong though.
I have played an Ibanez rg350DX white body guitar like I think you have. They are nice guitars. I would just upgrade the pickups and have a professional do a complete setup on it ,and it will be just as nice as Chris's guitar but alot less expensive.
a chromatic tuner lets you tune to any tuning it tells you what not your playing, a normal tuner lets you tune to set tuning like standard tuning chromatic tuners are good if you play in different tunings like these guys.
Always wanted to try one of those. I have a Caparison Horus and an ESP Eclipse II. I've owned and played Standard Series ESP's, USA Jacksons, USA Deans, high end Ibanez ect. and none compare to my Caparison. Deffinatly high end instruments, and if anybody ever has the chance to try one I'd say take advantage of it and see for yourself.

Depends on what model your talking about. The cheapest model they have I believe is the Horus, which this year, 09', are going to be around the $2200-$2300 range. Each model has its differences and each model plays and sounds different.
Just a thought. Did you ever think that Fender buying Jackson is an advantage to them. Now they have an unlimited budget to use only THE ABSOLUTE BEST materials to build their instruments. Just a thought.

I've had slews of Ibanez ( 2x JEM7VWH, JEM7VSBL, JEM90HAM, EGEN18TVF). I prefer the JEM90HAM because its just a stunning performer of a guitar. Cant say the same for the later, traded it for a Caparison Horus, The Horus plays/sounds/looks soo good i cant put it down! No match for my custom ESP tho.
I would love to get a Caparison Dellinger 7 string and the Chris Amott model, I have never played one but I heard they are great guitars. I usually stick with Ibanez, Carvin, and Jackson, but I want to try something new. And also, stop bitching about which guitar company is better, we all got our preferences on guitars OK. I do not like gibson, dean or Schecter, but that does not mean they suck. We all got our references in guitars, and that is OK
I've tried out some Caparisons and they truly are amazing guitars. I have an Ibanez JS1000 and the Caparisons are the only guitars i have ever really found as comfortable so quickly after playing one! I recommend you try one out asap because they really are that good! Enjoy!

Ohhh god no not a HZ - H4, I hate EMG passive pickups, im swapping out the HZ - H4 on my Alexi 600, swapping it out for a bareknuckle Warpig, a legion of difference let me tell you, dont get me wrong though I have EMGs in my Gibson Goth 2 Explorer (81 + 85) and their awesome, got them done with the 18v mod. As for caparison I think im gonna keep my Horus HGS stock when it comes in May

For Playing Metal You Only Need The Bridge pick Up As A Humbucker!!!! Have Singles on bridge and middle position are very good for fast picking stuff of for getting a little less gain!!!!

You can switch 2 sc's like a humbucker. And you can do death metal with a standard strat too. You don't need humbuckers for metal...the only thing which matters is the sound, not the kind of pickup...

2. Although the RR series is great, they are far from being the best guitars, ESP is great, (As much as I love COB) the Laiho is a piece of shit, (I have actually played one).
