@Wtfroflmao987 Actually, Korra is NOT blood-related to Aang and Katara. Tenzin only has 3 young kids: (Jinora and Asami, I think are his daughters) and his youngest is his son named Meelo. The next Avatar in the cycle is supposed to be a waterbender from the Water Tribe and that happens to be Korra. Korra is an only child and the only relation to Aang is his Avatar spirit being reincarnated into her.

There were parts of the old series like the drill or the Fire Nation warships where the technology was pretty far advanced but almost everything else was people pretty scarce. They used lanterns and had animal drawn carts and builders were generally Earthbenders. Cars and streetlights and clocks seem like huge technological leap.
