Yes we all have an option to switch but that isn't exactly logical or convenient which is why no one ever does. The money is deducted from your paycheck pretax and god forbid you get laid off at least you have Cobra for a while. I've seen a lot of people dropped by their insurance companies, I've known people that have been denied insurance because they had a pre-existing issue, which is completely bull shit.
