  • Difference between v6 and 7506 is only the golden plate, plus the 10 extra bucks it is for the golden plate.

  • @DudeImWayBetter That is in fact incorrect, The MDR 7506, while not having a completely flat frequency response come a lot closer than the V6's. The V6's have a more exaggerated frequency response which is more fun to listen to whereas the MDR 7506's have a truer response which is much better for accurate listening, mixing, and mastering. While they are not the most ideal, there is certainly a reason that professionals have been using the MDR 7506's for years now and they aren't using the V6's.

  • @thejigglesworth part 1. hehehe dude nice try, trying to pull off like you know something. You know that the 7506 are more expensive so you ASSUME that "MDR 7506's have a truer response" and because its more expensive you CLAIM that "professionals have been using the MDR 7506's for years now and they aren't using the V6's." Then you add some random facts ->IF<- both those claims are true.

First of all watch this Dave Rat - The Mighty Headphone Quest Part 2. Cold hard illustrative proof..

  • part 2. that the v6s actually have a better frequency response then the 7506. Switch means that the v6s are "much better for accurate listening, mixing, and mastering." "

MDR 7506, while not having a completely flat frequency response" "professionals have been using the MDR 7506's for years now." why would professionals buy 100 dollar headphones? There are certainly better headphones then the v6 for studio monitoring and if you were a professional i hope youd be able to invest in better cans.

  • Sorry if you already said it, but how much did you pay for them???

  • Where did you buy your V700? From a Sony Style store? Every Sony headphones I unboxed here are either Thailand or Japan. I'm not saying yours are fake. I'm just saying I haven't bought one that's Made in China.

  • @hifiguy528 I had the Z1000 some time ago was loan from a friend of mine, even the flagship was made in Thailand, not China. Only the In ear flagship was made in Japan, not china.

  • he likes them sony ehh,

  • Was it sold by Amazon? Or was it a third party seller?

  • Just received my from Amazon and the bag covering the cord does not have yellow bands and is not double bagged. Everything else checks out. Fake or not???

  • @theandroids I got my from Guitar Center, It came with the yellow bands. It looks exactly like the one shown in this video.

  • @NelsonGhostHunter I've seen videos with fake ones and they also have the yellow bands also, so I guess I'm fine.

  • ich hasse das wenn leute bei ihren previews so möchtgern profesionell schmatzen so wie er es bei 0:35 macht.

  • thanks very much for going to so much trouble to show the headphones in this detail. I'll be checking mine against your video when they arrive.

    Much appreciated!

  • I got mine in the mail today :)

I just wanted to make sure they were real.. thanks :)

  • Are you sure that none of the real SONY headphones are "Made in China"?

Most of today's SONY products are "Made in China."

  • If only they shipped these to Europe.. I can't find them for sale anywhere in Europe. The only ones I can find are those fake ones on Ebay.. another reason why so many people tend to buy those.

I personally couldn't care less about the packaging.. the quality of the headphones and the sound is all that matters to me.

  • @RHCPFL3A Try dv247

  • i just got a pair of v6's. What is the difference ?

  • I seemed to have a special pair.

In mines, the "professional" sticker isn't places perfectly at the base... Lol.

  • just unbox mine and watch this vid to make sure its genuine.... YEP ITS GENUINE ! thanks bro

  • There isn't any China made Sony. Those are fakes. All current Sony headphones are Thailand made.

  • @hifiguy528 not true asshole ! I have sony headphones from china and they are genuine ! I am a professional dj and I know what I am talking about

  • @hifiguy528 I have the sony mdr - v700 made in china and a friend of min e has the same made in thailand and there is no exterior and no sound difference, so what u say to that asshole ? u work at sony or wha' ?

  • so is there any difference between the japanese and this thailand made?

  • Hey man, I'm ready to pull the trigger on this ones but first I wanted to know of any headphones with a very flat freq. response for $100 o less, can you recommend any or should I just get the 7506's?

    Thanks!

  • You learned :D Im really glad for U!

  • Thank you... VERY thorough. I am planning to purchase a pair from E-bay and really appreciate your video in assisting me with my purchase.

  • the warranty card will tell you if they are real. the paper is an expensive type. It is thick and you should see vertical lines when you hold it up to the light.

  • i bought 1 of this from ebay and its looks like genuine while i saw ur review and except the SONY letters on the leather pouch.instead of white color letters ,there is black color letters on my pouch.so is this fake?

  • lol i have black Sony so called fake. And they rock with my good equipment))

  • are they noise cancelling?

  • i boughht one and the leather bag has a black sony mark on it and the left joint is kinda flimsy.. T___T i think it is fake, i had someone buy it for me at fry's T___T

  • I wonder why Sony hasn't approached the us government to prevent them fake ones to be sold and marketed in the US market

  • @djEvilDude Because they know if people buy fake ones and they notice, they are going to buy a pair of real ones and love them since the fakes will sound shitty. It actually helps them

  • thanks for this video it did help me a lot and I did not know there were fake ones floating around. you have done a great service exposing the lies out there and helping people like me researching this product.

  • what camera were you using to record this video?

  • Pay special attention when you choose this headphone because there are so many fucking bloody Chinese fake Sony headphones in the market . Never buy deep shit Chinese fake as China is the biggest fake producing country in the world .

  • I post my impressions on Head-Fi.org. Please look me up (djAmTraX). Thank you for your support!

  • It would be nice if you did some headphone comparison or reviews. these unboxings are nice, but it feels like i don't learn much about the actual sound quality of the headphones.
