if u put too much fluid it spills a bit over other things and everything burns for a few secs

when i fill my zippo i put it upside down in the cap so extra fluid runs into the cap and hence the whole top lights up when i flick it

You don't have to over fill the zippo to do this, just take a pair of needle nosed pliers and pull the wick up. that's all there is to it. Also, if your flame is too big, take the cotton out of the insert, pull the wick down, and replace the cotton. DUH!

Zippos dont use butane (zippos blues do...) And what is a 12 year old going to do with three twelve ounce bottles of zippo fluid...The screw dosnt changed the size of the flame (zippo blu's do have an adjusting screw) it just lets you put in a new flint.

There an outer case and an insert the screw is on the bottom of the insert not the case...

i know that people have said this already but this is just to clear things up. once you have the core out of the case, there are 2 things on the bottom of the core. A screw and a felt pad. If you unscrew the screw, then that is the chamber for the flint. if you lift up the felt pad, then you should see 5 rayon balls between which the wick is entwined.
