  • amazing :D

  • Only a singer of the caliber of Rafi saab alone could have carried this song. And there is none of his caliber.

  • Gurudutt has been considered to have taught Hindi cinema how to film songs. The songs in his films have always carried the story forward, and people could not leave the theatre during the songs as was the tradition then. I believe his 'Waqt ne kiya' is absolutely the best filmed song ever, in Hindi Cinema. The way Waheeda Rehman moves out of the harsh light into darkness and then into normal light, is a scene that gives me goosebumbps every time I see it.

  • Please don't compare Pakeeza and Kaghaz ke phool.

Kaghaz ke phool was, is and will always remain one.

Pakeeza was an OK film, but in the the category of Kaghaz ke phool.

  • im white british, and i think this song is brilliant it gives me goosepumps when i listenn to it, its so emotional, i saw the film years ago on c4 its truly a classic, in the same vein as pakeezah.

  • I agree wholeheartedly. One of the other songs from this movie had me in floods of tears too Waqt ne kiya. Pakeezah similarly great. Looking forward to watching Chaudvin Ka Chand soon.

  • This clip alone, which covers only the first ten minutes of the film, is enough to show us the greatness of Guru Dutt. He was a true genius.

  • India's first cinemascope movie.

    Guru Dutt's big effort.

  • Good comments guys..

    You all guys are great..

    lets never forget old jewels..

  • pls upload the entire movie

  • can u be KIND enough to post the complete song PLEASE!!!

  • truly a masterpiece!thnx a lot for uploading the songs.can u plz upload the entire movie

  • what a personality, what a tribute to a Great Showman of Indian Cinema, well Raj Kapoor was a Legend but Guru Dutt Saaheb is a LEGEND forever. May his soul rest in peace. Jai Hind

  • Guru Dutt was just phenomenal. We can get a feeling of his sensitivity just by looking at the way he creatively captured the world around us in a poetic manner.

And this song is one of my all time favorites. Mohammad Rafi, Kaifi Azmi and S.D. Burman - at their best. It's sad we can not get such great songs in today's bollywood corrupted by the greed of money. Thanks Rudina for uploading this song.

  • I agree with Kunal Kohli, you cant remake Kaagaz Ke Phool!

  • Excellent film!

True classic, why does good films flop!

  • ha ha...good question! they still do! i don't get it though!

upload the full movie plzzzz!! i so badly want to see this film!

  • "A true mirror to the ways of the world-Dekhi jamaane ki yaari, bichde sabhi baari, baari, distilled into one sentence! Kudos!"

This is one of my favorite movies. The way this song goes from revealing slow sad start, to accelerate pace reflecting fame, forune, glory and fans, back to tragic ending of life when he is sans friends, family, fans, fortune and finances. This Classic was aBox Office Flop. I thought I was the only one who liked it, until now when I found you folks.

  • Im a true admirer of Guru Dutt, not only his films but of the person he was and how he thought and felt so deeply in the despairing world around him.

  • greart greatest ever ...........

  • thanks for the song RUIDINA.

this was first indian movie in cimemascope.

    very touching story.

  • The movie tragically turn into reality. And has created a legend.

  • Please post the video for the song "Waqt ne kiya", it's a classic and deserves some limelight.

  • This music gives me goosebumps...something very haunting...and deeply sad about it...

  • What a description!
