howard hill was the greatest archer in history and he was a passionated bow-hunter. he shot elefants, crocodiles, buffalos etc. etc. I am quite sure he had no problem with killing a snake.

and especially the public community had no problem with that. that was not the 2000's... it was in the 60s :)
