  • wow! :)

  • Now the city is beautiful :)

  • please come to Hong Kong X'D

  • Why would anyone dislike this?? Cause is also in India? Is it because of the brand Dulux???? I don't understand...

  • I was the 1000. :D

  • Awesoooome :D:D:D

  • That's soooooooo amazing guys !

what a great inspiration , please come to curitiba , brazil !

    yeahhhhhhh ++++++

  • Thanks @LeooAldeiaa We are making our way through Brazil with tudo de cor para voce so keep your eye out for the colour coming your way!

  • Now we need to do this with housing developments in Orange County, California.

  • You missed a spot.

  • oh man i want to join this if we have this event in our city!!!!

  • @neverlokback What city are you in?

  • This is awesome. Where can I sign up? :D

  • @ArkhamIllusionist Thanks for joining the colour movement :) Your best bet is to sign up to our facebook, twitter and other groups so we can fill you in on where we are going next and get you involved. All the links can be found in the above blurb below the film. Thanks for spreading the colour :)

  • hit up the projects with this, im sure it will help out our self esteem of how to see the community

  • that is why i <3 art.

  • where could be found a pictures from this project - how it looked before and how it looks now

  • @dragonsharddd Check out our flickr stream and blog. The link is above in the video blurb :)

  • I might be nice but then not everything needs to be painted though as there is some buildings that could be ruined by this there is a kind of beauty in imperfectness and derelict we don't want everywhere to look them same.. also brick walls are really nice as they are..

  • @cherrytopx Try telling that to the people who have lived with derelict buildings all their lives, or watched these buildings degrade as such.

  • i think we should start doing this all over, it would make people happier

  • Nice, Fantastic XD

  • As much as I like this, if the paint used is not super high quality concrete paint it is not going to last even a year. I doubt they prepared the surfaces correctly either. Besides that it is fairly cool.

  • O_o Капец, как это сделали???

  • i want to participate on something like this. :)

  • as if they didnt run out of paint

  • this video makes me so happy!

its such an awsome project, they should paint ALL the cities in the world ;D

also, i love that its not jsut some white town in America.

the music goes perfect, and the whole project makes my heart happy ;D

    bravo!

  • Absolutely beautifully done motion tracking & paint job :D I'd give a double thumbs up here if I could

  • We all from NOMAD FILMS INDIA are proud to be part of this project

  • @junaidcry Love Nomad Films :)

  • I dunno, it was a good advert, but you can't tell if dulux are actually trying to bring communities together or sell paint, and it is probably the second option.

  • @RKGftw Well obviously they're trying to sell paint. They're a business, not a charity. But at the end of the day, they're making good adverts and promoting their product whilst at the same time, 'bringing communities together' and doing a nice thing. It's the best of both worlds, and it's more than most companies would do.

  • Sin duda deberían aprender muchas grandes empresas. Increible

  • Not sold on this vid... it's a bit like watching paint dry.

  • All that goes through my mind is all that paint thats wasted...especially if you like the colour grey...they also covered peoples art work (or graffiti)...its almost like saying "no one likes your artistic cry out so we are going to paint over it in bold colours even though we know you will hate it, but guess what, i dont have to live with it outside my front door"

  • @JeremyScottThompson Looks like the only thing they covered over was tagging, which is not art, not even proper graffiti art. It takes no skill or talent to write your name on something which isn't yours, but it takes something special to pull a whole community together to do something like this.

  • cool!!!!!!!!

  • this video and the whole project are amazing)

I really want that my district would be so colorful too

Imma lil' bit tired of seeing gray concrete mass day by day

Most part of our uptown is gray and it's really boring and these similar lookin' colourless bodies supress people every day, even though we got used to see them

  • Какому мудаку это не понравилось?

  • fake

  • 2 out of 628 people didn't like this. Even though I've never seen such an amazing approval ratio on any YouTube-Video so far, I have to ask these two people: What the heck is wrong with you?!

  • @Selinja Parkisons

  • @Selinja Or perhaps they live in soviet russia

  • @Selinja make it three...i like the idea but i think it would have been money better spent on other things that the community needed rather then splashing colour all over their neighbourhood for only one reason, and we all know its for one reason, its to make dulux look good and hopefully get people to buy their paint

  • awesome!

  • !!!

  • Thanks fuck they spelled it colour, not color...

  • is there a problem with the HD video or is it just me?

  • nice project!, i wanna do it but here in mexico!!!!!

  • Awesome ad, Jonsi is playing in sydney next month yewww. Also I think that this clip has been done with a massive reliance on after effects.

  • Now, I wanna color :)

  • but unfortunately this is not real..right?

  • @DimoDemon @andronina @DerInternet The film is a real documentation of the Let's Colour Project. A global movement from paint companies (Dulux, Dulux Valentine, Coral and Marshall) to transform grey spaces with colourful paint. 650 people from all over the world came together to make this film. The painters are not actors, they are real people from the community who came together to paint with us. Hope you like it :)

  • @letscolour This means that all these buildings are painted like this..? This must be so weird..a colorful city..

  • @DimoDemon Yep it is an amazing city! Pretty much all of the buildings are varying shades of white to blue to purple. You gotta go there!

  • this has been done for real?

  • YES JONNNSSSSSII

  • What an amazing way to bring a community together. Little things like that can make such a huge difference!

  • Missed a bit :]

  • Muito bem bolado!!!

  • it gives me the feeling of sony bravia balls but just with paint.. humble opinion

  • F**K I LOVE THIS.

  • The first part is in Rio, neighbourhood of Lapa (you can clearly see the archs in a moment), very beautiful indeed to see all the graffittis going away from the walls!!!

    Regards from Brasil, amxa.

  • great ad but I'll ate me hat if there was a drop of paint used.

A global movement from paint companies (Dulux, Dulux Valentine, Coral and Marshall) to transform grey spaces with colourful paint. The painters are not actors, they are real people from the community who came together to paint with us. The locations remain coloured today. We've got painting events happening all over the world, last month was Turkey.

  • that is a shitttttttttttttttt load of paint...:D

  • just a wow

  • Ha, you missed a spot! Jk.

  • This is why I LOVE Art!!!!

You can change the world with it plus other talents also!

  • Amazing. Very very good. Colors looked fantastic.

  • what's the benefit of colouring ? I like it as it is.

  • Must have been incredibly expensive!

  • Amazing filming my man

  • This video made my day, I love art, color and culture.

  • but anyways.nice creativity

  • define:dulux

1.To cover or to fill someone with semen.

  • @TheJaimeCarranza epic win

  • i have a hilarious video of me getting hurt

  • @animalman1122 ? thats a GREAT ad.....***sarcasm***

  • you spelled color wrong. lol jk, nice vid.

  • i have a naked girl video but it will be deleted after youtube reviews it so hurry and watch it

  • <3 beautiful, I cried, is that wrong?

  • Definatly worth the work!

  • color makes the world brighter..nice

  • that was beautiful

  • this made me smile :D

  • This is super lame. What's wrong with street art and graffiti? You honestly think people want to look outside their window and see a bag of Skittles? I sure as hell wouldn't.

  • @RamenBooko what's wrong with street art and graffiti? What's wrong with people scribbling their names on walls and making the place they live look like a shitty ghetto? Yah, some graffiti is art, but most of it is crap. For every Banksy there are thousands of people who simply scribble shit on the walls. Besides, it's been proven that color affects mood.. I'd much rather have the color thanks.

  • JONSI!!

  • And after the improvement to the community, the housing costs became so great that all the residents had to leave.

  • We need more color. Everything is too sterile these days.

  • This is a simply wonderful idea! One of the joys of being human is the ability to see such a colorful world. We should celebrate it! Colors really do make a difference.

    They add life.

  • Awesome awesome awesome~

  • Fake

  • @DumbestCrayon FAKE AND GAY!

  • @DumbestCrayon Haha... The "Let's Colour" video gets criticized by the DUMBEST "Crayon"... That's the definition of irony!

  • awesome!

  • the Jonsi song/album is great, and i love the video.

but I still feel like it may be fake-look at the end-the very last shot- some of the blue buildings look faked. Also some of the architecture looked really old- I can imagine maybe a building being offered up, maybe even an abandoned neighbourhood, but not a historic building unless its in an area thats REALLY been let go... otherwise I don't think a city would agree to it

  • @soulsofsolace Um.. I got the impression these were third world countries where they don't exactly have "historic buildings' just the buildings that were always there...

  • @AngelusDlion okay yeah thats a good point for a few of the shots. i really doubt the areas with parking lots, streetlights, and a city skyline are third world though. perhaps the old buildings alone were painted in third world countries

  • AWESOME!! What a great idea and a nice way to really make a difference in communities!

  • @itcouldb

    HAHA VERY FUNNY BECAUSE RAYWILLIAMJOHNSON

  • @itcouldb It's not fake. It's not gay. Or were you possibly talking about yourself? In that case, you might be correct.

  • Holy crap :O That's amazing!

  • Just wonderful

  • Genius!

  • Just watching this made me feel happy =)

  • @missliason lier

  • Well done to everyone who was involved, you must be knackered! It's such an uplifting ad - beautifully simple, great music and great art direction to make sure it all came together on film - and you actually involved the communities and did something to benefit people in the process. Ticks all my boxes!

  • How did they make that? :O

  • @dmacparkour13 We used motion control to track very slowly at 0.5mm per second or slower. Some of the moves took 90 minutes in real time For the shot at the start we tamped the camera tps, iris and exposure time in sync to move from 25fps to 0.1fps - all in camera!

  • How did they make that ? :O

  • and then everyone got arrested for coloring businesses and houses without permission. I hope they did get permission btw, wouldn't it suk if your house ended up being the pink one?

  • Beautiful. I love the project!

  • beautiful. love it so much :)

  • The song is 'Go Do' by Jonsi from his new album Go. It's such a great track!

  • @letscolour I can listen to the new album for weeks, great track for such an awesome video.

  • @Rhetorikol I know. We love the Jonsi track. Saw him in concert when he was in London. He rocks.

  • the sound was a song by sigur ros?

  • @kamela13 it's jónsi - singer of sigur rós, his solo project.
