If this is true, what we have is Britain complying with a country that carries the death penalty for the offence committed. There would be a bilateral egreement in place for the tip off: Likely what Sandra got for a sentence, 25 years with the chance to return home after a 5th of the sentence was served, had the drugs been found on Loche. A bilateral agreement decrees that the sentence not exceed what the accused would serve in their country of origin. There is no such agreement in place between the UK and many of the countries that known terrorists come from. There aren't even extradition treaties.

That was sad when they read her sentence. She was freaking out and hysterical. It was hard to watch. I liked the ending and it seems like she has a fairly bright future. I don't know why everyone is being so harsh and judgmental she was young and naive. It was also probably her first time being away from her parents. We all make mistakes and she paid dearly for her's. From the sounds of things she is still paying for it. It sounds like it will haunt her forever.

I’d still recommend the book, though. It can be funny. There was a riot and it started when this Aussie was eating with her Thai friends and this Nigerian started combing her pubic hair on their rice. So the Thais asked the Aussie to tell her to stop, since she’s a foreigner too. The Nigerian, when asked, refused and hit the her, so the Thais helped their friend and all hell broke loose. Can you imagine having to ask someone to please not to comb their pubes on your food? O_O

@harrana2007 I do have a biased perspective because I have no problem with him doing drugs and I only care about the deal they have. he hires her as a drug mule. That means she is responsible for the drugs while in her custody. If shes busted, she takes the fall, and in turn she wont have to pay for the drugs lost. If she simply dumped them, she would have to pay for them ofc..But he was very stupid in both choosing her and in travelling along w her + he did seem like a prick, so screw him ;)
