I really don't wanna offend you or anything in anyway. But how come, I noticed in some of your videos you'll wear ur hijab loosely ard the neck and it's showing? Aren't you supposed to cover it up fully? I'm just saying, I really like your videos :)

@mattjangs it doesn't offend me it just depends on the scarf. some scarves don't stay up close to my chin & others droop more. i don't freak out about showing a tiny bit of neck because my intentions are good

I'm a city girl too for holidays because there's plenty to do. You would probably like Prague - that's a beautiful city for a visit. Also Switzerland - the cities there are a nice mix of shops/cafes and beautiful scenery so it's easy to find places to go and things to do. Now I sound like a travel agent LOL.

I'm trying to put together a hijab-friendly workout outfit, any suggestions? It's been suggsted that I wear one of those burquinis, but I don't wanna get the one I have all sweaty and groos, you know? Any ideas for a hijabi workout outfit? I'd mostly be riding a bike, a little jogging, a little weight lifting, and maybe the stair climber machine every once in a while.

You mentioned the midwest being a bit "close minded"... Idk if its just because I've been born and raised in Chicago but the Muslim community here is very very very strong... The non-muslims are quite educated about the religion and culture here. If ever you want to move to a more open minded place in the midwest you should thinking about moving down here!... @mzkhilari like the undergraduate institution I went to, despite it being a private catholic university muslims made up majority of the student body. Some of the muslims came from one of the 5 surrounding private muslim schools, but majority of them came from any other public highschool... It wasn't just out university either, a alot of the downtown chicago universities have a very big muslim population alhumdullilah

They often wear "clubbing shirts" like clingy shirts with low necklines and cut-outs over top of plain long sleeved shirts. I totally understand and applaud their modesty, but why dont they wear cute long sleeved shirts or layer with regular shirts?

@qtanabanana The extent a woman wants to take modesty varies. We're all on a journey & some arrive at their destination earlier than others. Some don't see abaya as necessary while others see anything less as slutty. The mixture of opinions will never change & we shouldn't judge anyone.
