Because I have 2 motors for my 1993 RX-7 and both are blown, cost to rebuild about 1,500 just for kit. Any other work (3mm apex seal conversion, race porting, new turbos, upgrade fuel injectors, computer upgrade, all exterior motor components upgrade, larger intercooler, upgrade to stronger transmission, driveline, rearend to handle all the horsepower, now your looking at anywhere around 6,000.00 to 12,000.00 to rework. These cars are beutiful, but they are money pits. But I won't sell mine!

Have seen that happen countless times with v8 swapped FCs. Wrong chassis for that engine when it comes to anything other than straight-line setups.

People usually do it because they can get a FC shell very cheap and it is a lot easier (and cheaper) for them to work on piston engines in the US over rotary.

Compitition wise, you are not going to get far with a v8 engine FC or even a rotary. It's good to start with but you are going to have to upgrade to a FD or something else.

Holy Fuck!! That sucks dick big time. Similar thing happened to me in my 180sx. Initiated the drift feint style and it just wouldn't transfer into the turn. About same damage as that RX-7

Charles Ng is no joke. I drifted with him in the Irwindale Pro Am Qualifier and he won the event. He is a very cool guy to talk to. Reviewing the video this is the exact same thing that happened to V Jr's Mustang. He initiated the feint entry and the car did not set to the transition for Handbrake initiation. He had the correct angle, and the car did stop rotating for a split second then it started rotating again, and he pulled the H-Brake to try to save it.
