Ang galing umarte ni Elizabeth at Gina. Natural na natural. Two of the finest actresses in their generation.

Si Manilyn, natural din. Pero si Roderick ang nagstandout. Excellent in comedy, superb in drama. Rhoda gave the perfect comedic touch to counterbalance the film's dramatic scenes. Sobra nakakatawa ang scenes niya.

what a roller coaster of a movie, i usually sleep through filipino movies but this time I really enjoyed it, everyone's acting was great, I laughed so much thanks to Rhoda, you still have it in you ever since Petrang kabayo, Rhoda is truly a natural. The Cinema Evaluation Board has become lenient that "Ded na si Lolo" was graded A. In my opinion, it only deserved a B. Just the same, "Ded" is so far, one of the best this year. Soxy Topacio should be given more film assignments. Roderick Paulate should merit a citation or nomination next year.

There hasn't been much filipino films that have astounded me. Filipino film industry has been bombarded with the same kind of shit for so many centuries now; most of it is the same old romance movies. At this rate, we'll never have a chance of being nominated. And sorry but most comedies are never even considered nominees because comedy is such a difficult genre to perfect.

I haven't watch this film though I know that it's really good compared to other mainstream comedies.. I plan to see this soon.

My only problem is that the Academy doesn't really favors these kinds of genre.. They want a heavier theme. Though I still have hopes, but its not that high. I prefer "KInatay" since it was able to prove itself on Cannes but it wasn't in the contention for it was just shown this month, iguess?

But from all the short listed films. I THINK FAP SHOULD HAVE CHOSEN "LOLA".

OF course, it's cheaply done! It is an indie movie, remember? It does not have a big budget like films produced by studios. However, despite the lack, the movie was graded A by the CEB, which is a validation that it's not just any cheesy comedy!
