@ndzordz Meat Loaf did the cover, actually. This movie is from the 80's & Meat Loaf's Bad Attitude album is from the 90's. The composer and songwriter Jim Steinman wrote the song, and he also collaborated a lot with Meat Loaf. And a some lesser known Steinman songs from plays or aborted works have ended up on Meat Loaf albums, so it makes sense that this would. So you're instincts were right. This is the original. And I love Meat Loaf. But, sadly nothing is better than the original.
