  • He plays that Campanella like nobody else! It reveals it to be an awesome piece.

  • oh gee, berezovsky and medtner, a dream combination! starting with the march of the paladin, which Rachmaninoff called 'a miracle'. i love that he's playing Medtner publicly now, he once said in an interview that he privately played him a lot but sadly he's not the most accessible (as in the march), though i think many of the fairy tales and especially the forgotten melodies are instant crowd pleasers. this is a treat!

  • @Sorcerer88 I have a Berezovsky CD with 5 Fairy Tales on it (op. 34 Nos. 2-3, op. 20 No. 1, op. 51 No. 1 and op. 54 No. 2); would you like to hear some? They are very exquisite interpretations, Berezovsky is an great performer of Medtner.

  • @madlovba2 i'd love to. as i wrote in part 3, i find milne's interpretation maybe a bit more powerful, but berezovsky has a crystal clear counterpoint and high dynamic control.

  • @Sorcerer88 Ok, I'll upload few in the next hour. I fully agree with you, btw.

  • @Sorcerer88 I've uploaded them.

  • Thanks for uploading, Berezovsky is indeed great!
