Reminiscent of a fly's eye. What size scale are we looking at?

The Amount of fluid was about 12 oz. The distance from the top plate to the bottom plate was around 8 or 10 inches. maybe less.

there were two magnets, one on top, one on the bottom. the magnets could be moved up and down by spinning dials on the sides. the closer the magnet was to the surface, the more tightly the liquid went together
