Whhhyyy the fuck do these challengers always pick Morimoto? I can't remember seeing one of the other Iron Chefs battle. Ever. or okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit but he definitely has to be picked on a 1:4 other:Morimoto basis.

one thing i love about the old iron chef is the attitude to challengers have, you can tell when they go in they are putting their pride and talent on the line when they work on those dishes, literaly putting their heart an soul into each dish so its as perfect as can be.!
i'm not much of a gourmet but Pike Eel and Freshwater Eel are two different species. and i'm almost sure within taste difference, one of them has sweeter meat and texture while the other has another approach
would love to see the american version of this with ramsee shouting all the time

I love Morimoto. If I ever got on Iron Chef he is the only chef I'd face. His true talent and vision are wasted on Iron Chef America. *sigh*
In other news... Pike Eel? How does that taste compared to your average freshwater eel (unagi- if I spelled it right...?)

in a way i kinda agree. I like the Original Iron Chef better. The american one just doesn't have the flavor that the original gives you.
