@mathyses ... the cam it self is not waterproof but there was not much water anyway but if there would be more water then i would have used a full waterproof dive case ... the flycam is not "crash" resistant but if you are careful you can drive with it anyway.. i will post a new video with more detail of the mounting etc. and with more power on the car when get my parts .
@testdriveracer thanks man but the prob is i cnt find the dive case in the UK. u think u could help me in any way? i hv a mini redo and its almost the same as ur mini slash but mine flips easier. so if u flip it on asphalt will it break right away?
@mathyses yes .. ah .. i think that is because the dive case is sold out .. they only produced aprox. 500 ot these i think .. and they are already sold .. so the thing with the crash .. i say when you land on tarmac with the car upside down then it will damage the cam . the lense is the most critical part.. i would tape like a piece of thin wood above the cam so that the car cannot fall direct on the cam itself .. the cam is pretty shock resistant so this should be the smalest problem .
@testdriveracer alright thanks man, yh but I'm gonna be careful of course with it but still I'm just wondering if it does happen, do u know any other cams for an rc car? besides the usual flycams and go pros, id like to stay under the $150
@mathyses pffuuu .. its pretty tough to stay under 150 $ when you want a smal light HD outdoor sports cam ... i think the flycamone HD 720p is the best choice of and it will last long when you treat it well .
i say when you find a Contour HD cammera on ebay under 150 $ then this is a must have because Contour HD's are even better made and better than the flycams and go pros...
What are you running in your truck?
