I tries to work this out and I counted the 2 helghast troopers in the last cutscene and before there earth invasion started a scoutship left. Maybe it comes back, but that's only a few hundred to maybe a thousand helghast soldiers in the next one. We will soon see. I would like to see a killzone 4

Hmm, an interesting theory, but in the terms of narrative, I doubt it would make much sense. Why would we need to go and kill Visari all over again?

With that in mind, I think it is more likely that the man in the pod is either Stahl (as we don't see him dying on-screen, which places his death in doubt) or one of the few senior commanders who may have escaped the fighting.

Ich bin mir ganz sicher, dass sich Stahl in der Kapsel befindet. Am Ende von Killzone 3 sieht man eindeutig Stahls Schatten an einem der Prototypen Helghast's. Deine Theorie mit den Augen stimmt in meinen Augen(:D) gar nicht, denn am Anfang vom dritten Teil erkennt man an der Leiche von Visari, eindeutig GRÜNE AUGEN und warum sollte Visari zulassen, dass sich das eigene Volk gegenseitig bekämpft. You have an excellent theory. The only other person it could possibly be in that escape pod is Stahl. When you think about it though there is no way Stahl could have made it too that escape pod in time. I don't personally own the game, but from the walkthrough I watched I don't recall any of the men bowing to Stahl, but I may be incorrect on that. Also your eye theory is dead on I feel. I hope that it is Visari (though Stahl seems like the most likely candidate as someone else here mentioned that the soldiers were wearing armor particular to Stahl's forces) simply because Visari had such gravitas (thanks to Brian Cox (?)) that it made the struggle less one-sided and flat. In most other games you have your baddie leaders pontificate and what not (your Covenant, Makarov, etc.) but the acting and the writing just makes the Helghast struggle much more full and alive! Hail Visari!

Im confused... Stahl COULD be dead, Visari is dead, Orlock is probably dead and Radec is dead... I think Stahl was a good character, but he isnt really a commander, he has his own soldiers, those guys are standard helghast, though he uses helghast soldiers to collect that green stuff for the weapons. My guess is, its either Stahl, or someone new or from the first game... Maybe its Sean Pertwee's character from the first game? (im playing through it so dont know if he dies, but he was high rank)
