  • You got it wrong 7 x 6 -6 = 36 not 30 as u wrote

  • computers arevery good at calculating values stored in arrays (i.e. matrices) so learning to do systems of equations through matrices allows us to produce algorithm that a computer will then compute and spit out the answer for.

    thansk for the lessons ^_^

  • you got wrong in the last matrices its not 1 its 2

  • so proud to be a bengali. I look up to this man. We need men like him to further humanity :)

  • This video may have just saved me $250 on a math test tomorrow.... :D

  • i don't get why people dislike these videos

  • @yoshiguru123 because i am an internet troll.

  • f my skool seriously it has slow connection and like i have math class in the next hour

  • I understood everything except in the end when we don't do anything with the 1/30. i get it when we multiplied the matrices in the end but we didnt with 1/30

  • ..your my new math teacher

  • this refresh my memory, i need this for higher level courses

  • This is not the way I used to solve this. There is a much easier way to solve it. The use of varaibles in the way you used it probably made a lot of people confused.

  • 0:00-16:32 WHAAAAT?

  • @KDPowell702 shit load of maths :D

  • This helps so much. My math teacher bareeellyy speaks english and I'm having such a hard time with matrices.

  • This is some confusing shit

  • this sucks! JOKES this is the best shit ever, i have my vce exam on fri and this is the only thing that makes me understand! :D:D:D

  • 11:44 "hopefully I'm not completely boring you"

    ...

Dude, you could never bore me.

    YOU'RE SAVING MY UNIVERSITY CAREER!

  • @RuudDude1 University? I'm learning this in high school.

  • @MrSmudgyQuill So?

  • @MrSmudgyQuill Yeah and if you're planning to study engineering you'll see this again as an introduction in the first week...this is nothing kid.

  • watched

  • @lolkiwi Wow thats really weird cause im still in 7th grade

  • im in the 9th grade its freakin easy

p.s: i dont live in USA nor Britain

  • @PIXARTV97 Of course. The US and the UK have pretty shitty educational systems.

  • @bf2lover42 I mean elementary and secondary schools. Universities are obviously different.

  • thanks for your kind teaching..I'd Really learned something new from you..

  • 15:25 - You forgot to change the upper number of the rightmost matrix.

  • I dont get it that much.. I'm just trying to learn what matrix is and how to solve it because it poped up in my test and it gets harder and harder...

Btw, is this supposed to be thought when your in 7th or 8th grade?

  • @pinoygirl101DW in college

  • THE MATRIX WORLD!!!

    XD Are you Morpheus?????

  • Nice tutorial, helped me understand some more but i am a bit confused with the Triangle thing and the |A| thing. in my maths book it says the Triangle thing is the determinant but good tutorial. =)

  • my math teacher used the Cremer's Rule for solving simultaneous equations. No offense, but it was more comprehensive method, for me atleast.

    p.s: keep going you rock!!

  • See this is how young ppl in this generation can learn effectively.

  • @babybeautified True

  • The best part of this video other than the teaching...he made a few mistakes. It really makes me feel good and confident, that even people like you or mathematicians can make mistakes, and I'm not the only one who does. Thank you so much.

  • i think this guy has Gaussian reduction method too right?

  • system equations make my head hert

  • yeeeee boooiiiii im the 100,00 viewer(nerd) on this vid

  • Thanks so much! I have an essay on this for my Alg II final. Probably saved my life!

  • Was ---| |--- close to saying that the pink line was going the wrong way =P

  • @backhandable lol me too

  • Comment removed

  • 1:40 are you going to offer me blue and red pills ;P

  • Did not really help me but i guess I'm more of a writing down learner

  • Wow this shit is so crumbled together but still good work

  • thanx a lot :))

  • WOo0O000 NICE 1.thanks

  • so this is saying three.....so this is saying three....so this is saying three....hahaha very helpful video though!

  • Just call Neo

  • The rows of the inverted matric should be 6 -6 and 2 3?

  • @visiblemuffin almost, it should be 6 6 and -2 3, im doing it, does that imply that the final answer is wrong? becoz i got sthing else

  • ur a good teach but stop babblin ur makin me bored :'(

  • @samcat55555 , I agree these are good videos, but he could be more consise.

  • Do you have worksheets on your site we can practice these from thank you if you answer I knows yo is busy Kebrd mesing up

  • is he using mouse to write this or a sensor pad?

  • @takovarra i would guess a sensor pad. other wise he is just a boss at paint. haha.

  • @takovarra i think he's using a graphics tablet

  • Nice one Sal.

  • "... and the word 'matrix world' has a whole new meaning since 1999. ""

    EPIC. xD

  • thanksssssssssss

  • thank you soooo much i have a test tomorrow and literally didnt understand a single thing until i watched your videos

  • 11 PL AREN'T GONNA PASS HIGH SCHOOL

  • @Mushopia lol

  • thank you, i have a big test tmrw, and you just explained EVERYTHING ahha 2 thumbs up

  • Thanks for the info, however you need to get some new software!

  • if he make an sex change i'll gladly F555 her 24/7,

  • great

  • Haha! you make me feel like a Genius! .... Thankyou!!!!!

  • THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!

I SWEAR some people are just much better than teachers

  • why would anyone dislike this.....

  • 18 + 12 is not 30 its 40. and it is 1/40 not 1/30

  • @farzana6999 lol???

  • @farzana6999 try again.

  • @farzana6999 LOL 18 + 12? go back to first grade please. its 30

  • @farzana6999 lol, smooth

  • Comment removed

  • @farzana6999

    18+12 does equal 30....

  • Very nice tutorial. Definitely helps, teacher doesn't explain much.

  • The only thing I can say is thank God my teacher taught me Cramer's Rule. I find it to be way simpler. You should make a video on it Sal if you haven't already. This method also gets the job done though.

  • im going to show this in my class and amaze my teacher

  • Thanks so much! I got behind in class and failed a quiz yesterday on this subject. I have a test tomorrow on matrices and now I'm not worried about failing it! I'm a tactual learner, so being able to use steps makes it so much easier for me! You're a lifesaver!

  • Thanks man, i have exams tomorrow, and i didn't know how to do that !!

u really helped me....god drive you to heaven :P

  • Thanks for the videos!!! You're a life saver!!

P.S. You could use windows journal, everything you write will look much cooler because of anti-aliasing, just change the paper color to black and disable vertical lines/margin.

  • It's funny that you said that matrices are man made because, to me, it seems a lot of math is man made as well. Reminds me that Einstein once said, 'as far as the laws of mathematics refer to reality, they are not certain; and as far as they are certain, they do not refer to reality."

  • took to long to get to the point

  • Love it, you are a fantastic teacher, no mono tone and you answer ALL my questions... Thank you for taking the time.

  • awesome, matrices are very efficient

  • functional notations

  • dude, life saver was so slow at doing it, now i can do like lightening !! THANKS MAN !!

  • oh nvm you corrected yoruself >_>

  • dsfh wait wait wait shouldn't that slope in the first equation you did be negative?

  • if this video was converted into a woman, id marry her

  • @sodr2

"If you just multiply both sides of the equation by the inverse..."

"Oh honey, I love you. But did you remember to get the milk?"

  • @sodr2

or guy and I'd marry him! :P

  • @morgensternxR nasty ...

  • @sodr2 is there an equation for that?

  • @sodr2 lol

  • @sodr2 The rent is too damn high party states that if you want to marry a shoe, I'll marry her.

  • Thanks a lot for making these videos.

I'm getting ready to re take a Placement test at a college, but I was so rusty on a lot of things.

Not to mention the test progresses from elementary algebra to intermediate to college level.

well the last class I took was 7/8 months ago and was Calculus/Trig.

Needless to say I find it hard to remember every single type of problem far and in between and the solutions for them.

And I don't have a teacher anymore to come to for a tutor and some refreshing

  • you helped me on my algebra sooo much! the book made it so confusing but when you did it i actually understood! thanks! :)

  • i need help in solving simultaneous equation

  • You move your mouse cursor and this makes me nervous, everything else if very good.

  • nervous? why?

  • ))))))

  • you are the beast of math!!!

  • wow!! thank you soo much! I was struggling so much on my Algebra last night, and you cleared up so many things!! Thank you!! =D

  • I thought that matrices didn't have an inverse except only if you were multiplying the matrices by a negative.

  • i opened this video, looking for how to solve 4x4 systems of equations with 4x4 matrices, but i guess not. D:

  • No offense man, love the videos but edit out that mistake at the begginingg

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH Awesome video my math teacher at school explained this horribly thank you for clearing it all up for me

  • thank you so much!

  • Helpful!!!!!

  • WOW, you can really teach. Please move to my area and become a teacher.

  • I think its more easy using crammers rule to solve systems of linear equations. Good video though I did not know you could solve it using this way.

  • believe me, this is much easier than cramer's rule. Especially if it's a system of like 5 linear equations

  • This is wonderful stuff. I never studied linear algebra at school and later on I found myself in a situation that I really need to understand them. I learned myself a little bit but still not clear about many concepts. Thanks. I look forward to seeing more.

  • such a wonderful video, really helpful.

i wonder how to do this whit a 3x3 or 4x4 matrix.

  • Who are you? Some scientist who has overhumanic skills to educate. This was awesome. THANKS man!

  • nice one Khan!

  • SAL YOU ROCK

  • You wonderful man. Thanks.

  • I have a test tomorrow. I LOVE YOU. You have no idea.

  • Thank you alot Khan. Im going to take linear Algebra this fall.
