Fucking robots... It seems the FANS know how to make a TRUE SPIDER-MAN VIDEO GAME that people will like. Maybe, Beenox, you guys should do a thing where you let the FANS decide who they want to see in the game.

So that means, Activision limits Beenox's creativity to make the game while Activision,themselves, will publish the game. Go blame Activision if they limited Beenox's creativity. Beenox was supposed spending their time developing this game over the last 2 years. But, Activision requested prove through yearly released, so they spent half of their devotion in making this game, Shattered Dimensions, and Edge of Time. That's why both Shattered Dimensions and Edge of Time were awfully short. Just forgive only Shattered Dimensions. I will tell more.
@ThePurpleCum Actually, Beenox narrowed down Shattered Dimensions pretty well. A lot of highlights were noticed for fans to have fun. The robots were not a big issue at all since they appear in 2099 (Scorpion and Doc Ock stage) and Ultimate (Carnage stage). In some areas, it isn't important to finish the robots before moving on. It's good that they ignored the open worlds because the game could have been a very big project and they wouldn't have enough time to finish the game within 1 year.
@SpiderManShattered people are talking about Rocksteady cause the did Batman justice, stop being a blind fanboy and just except it. Rocksteady would give Spiderman the game he deserves . And yes they are 2 different heroes, were talking about game quality and content.
Nice to see the Spider Slayers (at least I hope it's them). I knew that Rhino was going to be in this (who didn't cause he's been in almost all of them) but I would like some actual criminal super villains. For example Tombstone, Hammerhead and the Enforcers. Just to have someone who already is a criminal.
Lastly don't expect to see the Lizard in this game. So far the studio says the game was "Created as an epilogue story occurring entirely after the events of the movie".
@ThunderofDarkcloud giantbomb revealed a list of characters who are going to be in the game, and on that list the lizard is one of them. maybe he`ll be a playable character like green goblin was in spiderman 1 and harry osborn in spiderman 3.

I would like to say that I enjoy the idea of the game taking place after the movie cause then you have no idea what the story is about.

WoS and PS1 Spiderman 1 also had symbiotes and WoS used robots sparingly, you only see 1 robot thug and even that's controlled by a pilot inside. As for Edge of Time, Turrets aside you NEVER came across a robot in Amazing's time period. I think I missed a few, feel free to fill in the gaps.
So this is Spiderman+Crysis 2+ a small touch of Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic style robots. Frankly, I hoped this game would have characters from the comics... Now it changes things if the game proves to be damn good...but the trailer seems to suggest otherwise- for one thing the movement of the robots seem quite restricted and unnatural...Looks like this time its Spidey who needs to be saved!

The Arkham games are incredible and proved that GOOD superhero games can be done, but this is SPIDER-MAN here. Spidey moves and fights way different from Batman, much more fast and agile. But if by "Make it like Batman," you really mean, "Make it Spider-Man's Arkham equivalent," then I salute you.
Pretty sure this is just one mission, I don't know why everyone is getting all butthurt. I love Spider-Man, I think the film and the game are looking pretty good.
Personally, I think they're going overboard with adding all these robots in this game, especially that giant Spider Slayer that Spider-Man was fighting. What I think they should do is tone down the use of robots and just stick more with including classic villains, supporting characters, etc.
Other than that, I'm looking forward to this game when it gets released.

There's this trend going on where they make the enemies either robots or zombies- something inhuman basically- so it can be justified, politically correct, and non-controversial when you kill them. In turn, it makes combat boring.

In the newest trailer we see Spider-Man not fighting robots, but a bunch of robbers, so I guess the enemy-variety should be there, but even besides that, who expects ordinary thugs to stand a chance against Spider-Man? Robots are fairly decent opponents, since they can soak much damage and you can do all kinds of fancy combos on them, since they can endure it.

Graphics look amazing, but I don't think any other spiderman game/movie trailer will be better than web of shadows. I actually learnt how to fluently play Moonlight Sonata, and i didn't know how to play piano. thats how much of an impact it had on me:)

@ragforces It's not that you can swing without near buildings... but at some points the developers put a place in the sky between a building or two to make the swing look "smoother" and to be easier... but that made me go "huuuuh" everytime... it just kills the mood

@pantherandgrizzly Shattered Dimensions was one year development, so there's no way they could offer free roam for four worlds in such a short amount of time. Or else, the game could have gone even worst.

Graphics look amazing, but I don't think any other spiderman game/movie trailer will be better than web of shadows. I actually learnt how to fluently play Moonlight Sonata, and i didn't know how to play piano. thats how much of an impact it had on me:)

1. There better be more to the story than some damn machines malfunctioning
2. Like sparkPA said, make the webs attach to buildings! Not AIR.
3. Keep the combat system SIMPLE.
4. DON'T make the bosses ridiculously hard.

@ragforces It's not that you can swing without near buildings... but at some points the developers put a place in the sky between a building or two to make the swing look "smoother" and to be easier... but that made me go "huuuuh" everytime... it just kills the mood
