Absolutely astounding cover man.

This song is one of, if not his best, song, in my opinion.

Also a very impressive one to learn.

I have tried so far, but the timing really gets to me, as it does with lots of his songs. Lots of suttle notes in there. The pace of this song doesn't help either :P

@MrFaulconbridge ultimately it's down to practice. but if you're able to learn by ear it's a very good thing as it shows you know your way around the fretboard.

stupid question...what by tab/ear?? you play with your hands, use you ears for hearing and tabs are for writing down music...

Actually, yeah none of em are easy, your cover is ok, you know the notes, but you dont put them in the right time, you fail in timing, get a metronome and play with it, youll master this song eventually,

Thats what makes this song particularly "difficult" it's very upbeat and quite demanding on the right hand.

I'd be the first to admit i need to work on it, but don't most of the covers on here need work? i'm not under any illusion that once i've managed to play all the notes that i've mastered it, anyone can play the notes, it's how you play them that matters.

I have a good idea of what it takes to master a song, just i didn't feel necessary to point out every element of doing so.

I think you need to master the technique before you can master the song, and thats something i'll always be striving to do. all i meant by other covers is noones perfect and most of us don't take it too seriously!

Hey, I too have purchased the tab and seeing the way you play, you really play well especially the drum sounding part! Hence I need an expert advise of yours regarding that part. Did you hit the guitar with your thumb on the downstroke strums or upstroke? Cause on the tab, its on the upstroke. But I'm finding lots of difficulty hitting the guitar on the upstroke. Thanks!

Well at the start the way i play it is i hit the guitar after the upstroke, and then on the downstroke, using the base of the thumb. Thanks!

Andy McKee is exceptionally good at making percussion sounds as he plays, by using his thumb both on the wood of the guitar, and slapping the strings just above the hole, where there are no frets. Takes alot of practice to get it down right.
