@vsboy25 It's more of a "unisex" car here, if such a thing exists LOL. It does it's job well here and that's all that matters really... The Evos and Imprezas used by Essex Police are epic though :P
BTP have a single row of battenburgs on all of their vehicles or just an orange stripe with dark blue squares on the edges on older models. Besides, it even says in the blue box on the side on the side "Metropolitan Police: Working together for a safer London".
Watch the taxi driver in the right hand lane flash that yellow car because it slowed down incase the emergency vehicle needed to use its lane......impatient sod!!
@Bluezn2z A lot of city forces now have these astras in replacement of the traditional 'panda' cars. The astra 'area' cars are normally the bigger more powerful model. The 'area' car is normally of a more powerful engine and driven by a higher standard of police driver. Surrey Police have a similar example using ford focus estates and ford mondeos (although they are not area cars in Surrey). Sorry to but in on this year old convo, but I like to stick my nose in. =]

Definitely a Met IRV, BTP have battenburg liveries on their side, nice vid!
EliteCaptainGadget 2 years ago
in addition, BTP don't use silver cars. Even if some viewers can't recognise the Livery and Crest on the side.
silv1983 2 years ago 2
If you look at the side of the police car, it clearly says metropolitan Police with their logo.
British Transport police are national and not designated to one police service.
BTP also have their own logo ans they are their own police service.
