Zimbabwe's foreign debt passed 4 billion ,and much of it was allegedly taken by the Government of Zimbabwe for their own luxury, and not put into the country, A few years ago President Mugabe printed millions of dollars and gave it to loyalist army fighters, which put the economy into massive inflation.
