I would like to pay you $22.72 per lug, I will be sending you a money order check for $17,891.33. My haulers will pick it up after the check has cleared. Send me your address, social security number, bank account number, and PIN.
@atomiccheeseburger69 Read the description. I was only making a joke. It's a scam to try and sell us his old fucking lugs. Now, tell me which one of us is really the scammer.
This would be good for offroad use, only drawback is they must ride rough and sing like hell on the road. This could also be used to turn a set of AT's into MT's
i use a regular ol circular saw to cut new sipps in mine. make em last a few more years in the rain and snow. worked great and easy too. just set the depth and go
As far as the left over chips ? Spray bomb them Brown and place around the base of a small tree as bark mulch...They will never fade and you wont have too replace or add to them every year
@Smokie181 Basic physics: change of surface area does not affect friction
This does alter the contact patch greatly though, but since these tires probably do not get used on the road extensively then it is probably more beneficial than harmful
@Smokie181 Tire footprint on tarmac is very different to loose surface, i.e. mud/gravel. The rougher the tread pattern, the more the tire claws it's way through loose stuff. This is a very good mod and works on both real tires and R/C truck tires. Method is the same. result: well let's hear it...
what a waste of time...probly took 6 hours to make a realy shitty tire into a shitty tire...even after there grooved there still guna have no traction, you can see the rubber has gone hard and shiny...what an idiot
@swanty420 he took a shitty tire he was going to get rid of and made them halfwaydecent for some light mud or snow. not a waste. soak em in oil for a few days to soften them
So now you have the same tooth depth but just less traction from less rubber touching the surface of the land. EPIC FAIL dude. I'd rather spend $800 on new tires and know on the next rainy day I'm not going to hydroplane into a ditch. Also I really don't recomend you making a video of drag slicks.
@turfwerks1 obviously these are not for wet weather pavement use. you're an idiot. grooving is very common and effective... some even do it on brand new tires for added traction in off road conditions.
@squirts1 Any cuts in brand new tires are usually for water purposes on the street. It's called syping. Now as for me being an idiot, well let me kow when you want me to pull your dead body out of a ditch cause you couldn't spend $800 for a set of new tires. Get a job. Remember if you were an enginer you'd be working for a tire company not out of your house. What do you do trailer your jeep to go off roading? I drive mine their and if it rains well I got NEW tires. Once again new tires.
@turfwerks1 lugs in offroad tires like those do nothing for wet weather street traction. sure, you're right about street tires... aggressive offroad tires are crap on the street anyway.
As for me being dead in a ditch, I never said I do this to my tires.... I just said people do it and it works for it's purpose. I would never drive a vehicle with those tires on the street certainly not in wet conditions -- as I am not an idiot. The point is, for the intended purpose, this WORKS.
@islandoffroadracing You are right I don't know shit about cutting up old used tires. Instead I just ordered some Dunlop Radial Mud Rover tires (35x12.50/15) for my wrangler at $190.00each from tirerack.com. My jeep looks and performs awesome with these tires. I bet my new tires get better traction than these old ones any day? Why be cheap? I have the money to buy new tires. 35's for $190 each is a deal also!
you should glue the used lugs to the existing tread to get twice the depth......

You can heat those lugs hot enough and heat the tire and melt it down ontop of the other nobs you left on there. it actually works.

more spacing between the knobs = more traction in low traction environment. ie sand mud rock crawling woods etc...
you dont know your stuff turfwerks.
